Datanet Systems invests 1.5 million euros in a Network Operations Center with national and international coverage
Datanet Systems, an integrator with over 25 years of experience in IT and telecom infrastructures, announces the launch of its own Network Operations Center (NOC), available to organizations in Romania and abroad. The implementation of the NOC was made possible through a staggered investment of over 1.5 million euros, allocated to the development of a specialized team, training and certification programs, as well as the creation of operational procedures aligned with ITIL standards, integrated with state-of-the-art monitoring and management platforms and tools.
The Datanet NOC offers preventive maintenance, the operation of 3G/4G/5G mobile networks, as well as the complete management of the life cycle of end-user services, including SIMs. The main objective is to maximize the availability of services associated with data and voice networks, regardless of the complexity of the infrastructure, with the possibility of extending support through on-site interventions carried out by Datanet teams from work points distributed nationwide.
“By launching our own NOC, we offer our customers in Romania and Europe a complete solution for maintaining the availability and security of critical networks. Our team’s expertise ensures guaranteed response times and allows us to intervene quickly and efficiently, regardless of the complexity of the network or the customer’s location. We can also add on-site interventions and Security Operations Center services to the NOC services, which add an essential dimension of cybersecurity. We have a high level of flexibility in configuring service packages based on the requirements of any customer, so that they can achieve the desired level of resilience. We already manage 3G/4G/5G mobile infrastructures and services and provide support for a fleet of over 50,000 equipment, therefore launching our own NOC was a natural step. It is a long-term investment in people, laboratory equipment and spare equipment stocks, distributed throughout Romania, which exceeds 1.5 million euros, but which will bring added value to customers”, said Dragoș Stroescu, Director Executive, Datanet Systems.
With a team of 12 specialists, Datanet NOC services are available 24/7, throughout Romania, but also internationally. They are based on modern technologies and an artificial intelligence system developed in-house. The new center is designed to reduce the risk of interruptions and operational losses, ensuring the resumption of communication infrastructures in a maximum of 4 hours, and under certain conditions even in 2 hours.
For IP infrastructures, Datanet offers complete services, depending on the contract, such as communication monitoring, fault self-notification and triggering of remediation procedures, which may include on-site interventions and replacement of defective equipment, as well as technical assistance in troubleshooting software problems for telecommunications equipment. All these services are delivered in accordance with service level agreements (SLA), respecting the contractually guaranteed times, and can be complemented, as appropriate, with support services in monitoring and securing the infrastructure (SOC).
SOC services, offered by Datanet through the Soitron group, available at European level since 2018, complement NOC capabilities, through 24/7 cyber monitoring, vulnerability scanning, incident response and threat intelligence, protecting a vast portfolio of organizations against advanced threats. In 2023, SOC services revenues at the Soitron Group level recorded an increase of 144%, reaching 768,000 euros, amid high demand from local administrations, the healthcare sector, critical infrastructures and the energy sector. Also in 2023, with the support of the European Union, Soitron Group launched SOCulus, a next-generation detection platform, which raises the level of cyber protection to international standards.
Datanet’s combined Network and Security Operation Center services fully cover availability and security requirements and contribute to compliance with NIS2, DORA and ISO standards. The services are mainly aimed at companies for which the availability of communications is essential – from fields such as finance-banking, retail, utilities, telecommunications, production, transportation – fields that do not tolerate uncontrolled interruptions, but can be contracted by any organization, regardless of size or field of activity.
