Datanet Systems exceeds 51.6mln euro in 2024, doubling cybersecurity revenue
Datanet Systems, a leading complex IT system integrator and a member of the regional Soitron group, closed 2024 with a turnover exceeding EUR 51.6 million, marking a 23% year-over-year growth.
This growth was driven primarily by projects built on Cisco technologies, alongside a strong performance in the cybersecurity, where revenue share doubled from 9% in 2023 to 19% in 2024. This surge reflects significant investments in strengthening and certifying the team. Over the past year, Datanet became a Platinum Partner of Palo Alto Networks and a Premier Partner of Red Hat.
Throughout 2024, Datanet delivered key projects in the banking sector, including multi-cloud migrations for top financial institutions, network infrastructure modernization, and support for compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). For a major Data Center in Bucharest, Datanet conducted a comprehensive security risk assessment, followed by a project to upgrade and modernize IT and network infrastructure. In the telecom sector, the company completed a large-scale Border Routers redundant infrastructure deployment across the client’s main national locations—projects focused both on enhancing critical infrastructure resilience and cutting operational costs through new technologies such as SD-WAN.
In the public sector, Datanet successfully completed several tender-awarded projects, involving the delivery of communication equipment and solutions, along with associated installation, configuration, commissioning, and training services, contributing to the development of the government cloud. Other public initiatives included securing over 25,000 user workstations and modernizing the network infrastructure of an institution with 130+ national offices.
“2024 was defined by two major tech directions: cybersecurity and cloud — both of which significantly contributed to our results, while allowing us to maintain a balanced portfolio across public and private sectors. We’re proud of the 23% overall growth, especially in cybersecurity, where we doubled revenues. We strengthened our strategic partnership with Cisco, earning the Romania & CIS Partner of the Year award, and became a Platinum Partner of Palo Alto Networks. We also delivered complex, high-pressure projects in Romania and Moldova, many with national-scale impact — a challenge our team handled successfully,” said Dragoș Stroescu, Executive Director of Datanet Systems.
In 2025, Datanet Systems will continue expanding the cybersecurity footprint, especially as the NIS2 and DORA directives are already adopted into national legislation. The company is also investing in building a dedicated technical team for Cloud Native technologies and Artificial Intelligence, aiming to integrate AI solution within its service portfolio, but also to become a strategic partner for cloud infrastructure migration.
