SAP Business Suite, based on artificial intelligence, ends the era of specialized and independent applications for each field of activity
At SAP Connect, is showcasing how the integration of artificial intelligence, data and applications is driving unprecedented business value.
These innovations, including a new network of role-based assistants built into Joule that collaborate with people to drive performance, an expanding data ecosystem that delivers deeper insights, and supply chain software that anticipates disruptions, are once again revolutionizing the way business is done.
“To thrive in a time when volatility is the new normal, businesses need more than a patchwork of disparate best-of-breed applications. Our announcements today demonstrate the power of SAP Business Suite, where AI, data and applications come together in a unified experience that drives smarter decisions, faster execution and scalable transformation,” said Muhammad Alam, member of the Executive Board of SAP SE, SAP Product & Engineering.
Artificial Intelligence that Collaborates with People SAP unveils the next phase of Joule as the AI force at the heart of SAP Business Suite value creation. Leveraging applications and data from across the SAP Business Suite ecosystem, the company is introducing a new generation of intelligent, role-aware assistants built into Joule. Each assistant is designed to collaborate with a human user based on their specific role in the organization.
Joule assistants access the right agents for each task, configuring, orchestrating, and managing them so people can focus on achieving new levels of insight and productivity. Supporting these assistants is a growing library of specialized Joule agents designed to help execute complex workflows within specific functions.
For example, a People Manager Assistant leads a team of specialized agents, including the new People Intelligence Agent, which helps identify and resolve issues such as compensation anomalies to help managers improve performance. A new Financial Planning Assistant will be supported by a team of expert agents, including the new Cash Management Agent, which optimizes cash flow and improves interest yields to help finance professionals increase efficiency.
This new generation of role-aware AI assistants not only collaborate with people to support performance across lines of business, but also work together across organizational functions to solve complex enterprise-wide problems. Data without boundaries Data fuels the transformative power of artificial intelligence, but it is often siloed in disparate systems. With SAP Connect, the company is removing these barriers with SAP Business Data Cloud Connect. SAP BDC Connect securely connects SAP BDC with partner platforms, enabling a two-way flow of ready-to-use data products across organizational and technological boundaries.
With zero-copy sharing, data remains secure in SAP systems but becomes instantly accessible in customers’ existing data platforms, preserving business context without the need for costly copies. The result: fewer silos, simplified data flows, no duplication, just trusted data products, available whenever and wherever they are needed. SAP also announced that Databricks and Google Cloud are the first partners to be integrated into SAP BDC Connect, with others to follow. As announced in February 2025, SAP Databricks remains a data service within SAP Business Data Cloud, and SAP BDC Connect extends its benefits into an open data ecosystem.
These partnerships give customers faster access to data products for analytics and AI, helping teams move from raw data to real-time business outcomes with greater speed and simplicity. Applications that turn data into action At the heart of SAP’s unique value proposition are enterprise applications, where data is created and insights generated by artificial intelligence are harnessed. SAP Supply Chain Orchestration is a new AI-native solution that combines the power of Joule with a knowledge graph to detect risks at multiple levels in the supply chain in real time and orchestrate a coordinated response, helping customers reduce costs and keep supply chains functional.
SAP Engagement Cloud, a new solution dedicated to customer experience, uses critical business context to personalize interactions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. And the next generation of SAP Ariba’s procurement suite stands out as an AI-native solution that brings intelligence to every stage of the spend management process, from sourcing to supplier engagement. Together, these innovations within SAP Business Suite mark the beginning of a new era powered by AI, data, and applications that reinforce each other, generating intelligence, speed, and resilience.
