SAP introduces the unified SAP Business AI Platform, designed to create the “Autonomous Company”
The Company Strengthens Partnerships with Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft, NVIDIA and Palantir
During Sapphire Orlando 2026, SAP SE introduced the Autonomous Enterprise to optimize the most critical workflows at a global level, enabling people and artificial intelligence to collaborate in perfect synergy to meet the increasingly accelerated demands of global businesses in a profitable, strategic, and secure way.
„For our customers’ critical processes, <<almost right>> is not good enough. By unifying the SAP Business AI Platform with the SAP Autonomous Suite, we anchor AI agents in business processes, data, and governance frameworks, enabling them to deliver accurate, compliant, and secure outcomes—unlocking new revenue streams and significant cost savings”, said Christian Klein, CEO of SAP SE.
The Autonomous Enterprise comprises a unified AI platform for the development, contextualization, and governance of agents, an autonomous suite that manages core commercial operations, and a new interface that transforms the way users interact with enterprise software.
Introduction of the SAP Business AI Platform
SAP Business AI Platform represents a new foundation for building and deploying artificial intelligence at the organizational level, anchored in a real business context. SAP Business AI Platform thus unifies SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Business Data Cloud, and SAP Business AI within a single governed framework.
At the core of the platform is SAP Knowledge Graph, which provides AI agents with a structured map of business entities, processes, and relationships within the customer’s SAP landscape. Joule Studio is SAP’s AI-first solution for the development of agents, applications, and agentic workflows at the enterprise level. Developers can choose from no-code, pro-code, and AI frameworks, and the solution runs on an SAP-managed infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and optimized for enterprise AI.
Implementation of the SAP Autonomous Suite across all business departments and across all industries
Building on this foundation, SAP SE has also launched the SAP Autonomous Suite, which equips existing SAP business applications with AI agents capable of automating complete, end-to-end processes.
The suite deploys over 50 Joule assistants specialized in domains such as finance, supply chain, procurement, human capital management, and customer engagement. These assistants automate end-to-end processes by orchestrating a subset of over 200 specialized agents for executing precise tasks. For example, the new Autonomous Close Assistant can compress the financial closing process from weeks to days by automating accounting entries, reconciliation, and error resolution throughout the entire process.
SAP has also launched Industry AI, expanding its deep industry portfolio through seven autonomous solutions that execute end-to-end industry processes and incorporate process logic, data models, and industry-specific regulatory requirements. At SAP Sapphire, SAP showcased its collaboration with RWE to leverage Industry AI, helping reduce unplanned downtime across offshore wind turbines.
With the SAP Autonomous Asset Management scenario, AI agents analyze data from thousands of previous incidents, identify the likely root cause of the issue, and generate pre-filled work orders with the appropriate tools and proven solutions from other locations.
Redefining the Autonomous User Experience
The company has also unveiled Joule Work, which redefines how users interact with SAP software. Instead of navigating through individual applications and entering data across multiple screens, users will primarily interact with Joule. Based on the description of a desired business outcome, Joule will orchestrate the appropriate combination of workflows, data, and agents to achieve it.
Joule Work goes beyond simple conversation by proactively providing relevant information and automating routine tasks in the background, allowing work to progress even when users are not actively driving it. It will be available on desktop, mobile, and voice, across both SAP and non-SAP systems.
Accelerating customers’ transition to autonomy with a €100 million investment
SAP has revised its programs for customers and partners to accelerate each organization’s transition toward the Autonomous Enterprise model. To drive adoption, the company has launched a €100 million partner fund to support partners in helping customers implement SAP-built AI assistants and agents, as well as to extend or build new partner agents on the new SAP Business AI Platform, using Joule Studio.
At the same time, the company has updated the RISE with SAP and SAP GROW offerings to accelerate AI adoption. Both include access to the Joule Assistants portfolio; RISE with SAP customers will benefit from three assistants activated within the first year, while SAP GROW customers will have access to the full portfolio from the moment of onboarding. SAP S/4HANA on-premise and SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) customers can also benefit; those who commit to migrating most of their existing landscape to SAP Cloud ERP will gain access to selected AI scenarios, facilitating the transition from the current landscape to the cloud.
SAP has also launched new agent-based transformation tools that can reduce ERP migration efforts by over 35%, accelerating projects and making them more predictable by automating system analysis, code remediation, configuration, and testing at scale.
Finally, SAP announced a full set of strategic partnerships:
- Platform and suite partnerships include Anthropic, with Claude among the foundation models that SAP AI Platform will use to power Joule agents in HR, procurement, and supply chain; Amazon Web Services, enabling data integration without duplication between SAP Business Data Cloud and Amazon Athena; Google Cloud and Microsoft, enabling bidirectional interoperability between Joule agents and external agents; Mistral AI and Cohere, providing sovereign model options on SAP’s cloud infrastructure; n8n, offering visual orchestration of AI workflows in Joule Studio; NVIDIA, whose OpenShell provides the secure and reliable runtime for Joule Studio; and Parloa, bringing AI agents into SAP Service Cloud to manage customer interactions with full access to business data and service processes.
- Implementation partnerships include Palantir and Accenture, which collaborate on complex data migration projects, as well as Conduct, for AI-powered ERP cloud migrations.
