Companies in industries that have traditionally not been primarily looking for tech specialists – Automotive, Fintech and Energy – are now in a position to reconfigure their organization chart to include employees with technical skills. The companies present at the current edition of the TOP Tech Employers fair have over 5,000 career opportunities available for technical specialists with different levels of experience.
All jobs in the IT&C departments are remote, a feature especially appreciated by Generation Z. Career opportunities available at the online job fair, which runs online until May 1, include 1,000 internship programs for students, 2,500 positions for beginners (0-1 years of experience), and 1,500 mid-term jobs. level and another 500 for candidates with over 5 years of experience. According to the organizers, the companies operating in the fields of Automotive, IT Services and Fintech have registered a noticeable increase in the number of tech jobs available during this edition of the fair, followed by Energy companies, but not only.
“The IT field is a field whose importance has grown exponentially with the pandemic, and digitalization plans in all industries have increased the number of jobs in this field proportionally. In addition to software companies, now those in Automotive, Energy, Banking or Consulting are recruiting at an accelerated pace candidates with a background in technology. The dynamic is also supported by the new technology centers that have opened in Romania in recent years and translates into a large number of programs for students, at this edition being available 1,000 internships for the next generation of tech professionals. The changes in this sector of activity are also reflected in the openness of employers to recruit candidates from other fields who want to specialize “, said Dragoș Gheban, Managing Partner, Catalyst Solutions, the organizer of the TOP Employers job fair.
Another area where the number of tech job opportunities has increased significantly in recent years is pharma, where jobs such as Analytical Development Specialist or Automated Specialist are available.
