Frederic Lasnier, Pentalog: “Empowerment has never been so important”

“Success is a matter of empowerment. We have to make everything we can to encourage that. The current period was indeed extremely exciting. When we look at what we have to do as leaders at this moment, we have to help people understand that maybe we are going into something new which might be the beginning of reglobalization,” Frederic Lasnier, Chief Executive Officer, Pentalog said during the Romanian Business Services Forum 2021 organized by Outsourcing Today.

“A year ago, there were plenty of people in Western European countries saying that this maybe the beginning of relocalization. A year after that we are completely on the contrary because the remote economy is the obvious. We have to help employees and partners understand this ‘reglobalization’ through new ways of organization of companies. Empowerment has never been so important. We’ve had a fantastic test last year.

The lesson is that now we are in front of something new. That new thing, in my view, is helping organization understand that they have to go in every direction of agility, and not keeping agility for tech delivery but generalizing it all over companies.

We don’t want to ask anyone to come back to the office. People will have to choose. What we learned from our studies is that most talented people are the ones who don’t intend to come back to the office. In the race for talents, we have to give the freedom of choice.”
