FLORIN IORDACKIOIU, Learning and Development Manager, Orange Romania: We needed to redesign the entire learning concept to match and function within the new work landscape
The past year has offered a strong learning and reassessment experience for all of us and for L&D departments, it meant a lot about technology and adaptation to the new work environment. We made a lot of studies, research and surveys among our colleagues and employees and we found out that, in the first part of 2020, when the pandemic become a certitude, more than a quarter of our employees mentioned Learning as a major tool for them.
The statement has been uttered by FLORIN IORDACKIOIU, Learning and Development Manager, Orange Romania within today’s THE DIPLOMAT BUCHAREST’s fifth Edition of LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE in online format, on 25th of February, 2021
In this context, one of our programs – Learning Experts at Orange built and engaged people from different fields, willing to share their knowledge and expertise to their colleagues. We found out that, following running the monthly sessions of this program, that this was a very powerful tool and engine with a strong traction in terms of learning.
In our L&D Strategy, we focused during 2020 and so far, on four directions: Be Present (to be able to provide employees with personalized learning programs dedicated to their needs), Be meaningful, Be Connected and Be Customer-centric, which has become even more important now, more than ever.
The event has been supported by DIAMOND PARTNER: Wipro, GOLD PARTNERS: PwC, ACCA, Lovering& Partners, Business Performance Consultants, MEDIA PARTNERS: Outsourcing Today, Automotive Today, Financial Inteligence, Economistul, Romania Durabila, Club Economic, Bursa.
The series of events dedicated to LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT depicts the current trends and how they affect the business and the employees and commit to making positive changes within business organizations and working teams.
The role of L&D broadened even more in a year of unprecedented change and L&D managers needed to rethink their approach in pursuing the targeted objectives. Remote-working teams and individuals needed to embark and adjust to new L&D processes and the way of doing things has fundamentally changed.
