Marian Pătrașcu, APT: Finding creativity in the resource process and rethinking the business model
With a journey on the Romanian HR market started 25 years ago, APT company is now a member of Prohuman Group, one of the largest players in the human resources market in the Balkans. Now, in the current context, with all the sudden changes on the labor and recruitment market in Romania, the HR companies have to adjust more than before and find solutions that enable the flow and continuity of work processes.
In this respect, Outsourcing Today talked with Marian Pătrașcu, Head of Sales and Talent Acquisition at APT in order to find out how is the company addressing the aspects of human resources in this context:
The best HR approach is reinventing ourselves and our processes
The team is very important, people being the most important value in our organization, we are having ongoing communication with regards the business measures and the company strategy. It is important to know that together we will be able to adapt to the changing working environment and to be able to switch to new tools and operational scenarios. We kept all the recurrent meetings via online calls and in this way the teams remained in touch with their colleagues and with the projects. Our main objective is to assure business continuity by finding suitable solutions to be successful.
Solutions adjusted for each client
Now, more than ever, we are offering “tailor made” solutions for every client. The solutions are related to delivery time of the projects, especially the people administration ones. Because of the restrictions of the Emergency Ordinance we must create a lot of declarations for the employees that need to be at the office, so the workload is higher. Our recruiters need to be very creative in the resource process and very persuasive because in the current context the candidates are reluctant to make a change in the career. Other solutions for our clients are the following: finding better financial plan, keeping involved our outsourced employees. But most important for our clients is to assure them that we are still a partner that they can rely on.
The electronic signature – to ease the processes
We believe that the officialities offered some solutions to support the businesses! From the recruitment perspectives everything should to be in the right directions. In terms of labor market, as a legislative update we consider it extremely useful to introduce the electronic signature in relation to the working documentation as well as to relax the legislative requirements regarding the documentation required for the work from home or in relation to the attendance register. Also, the possibility to perform on line the Health and Safety course as well as giving up the obligation to prepare SSM books only in the format of physical book and introducing a variant of electronic records.
The focus on adapting and assuring the business continuity
Our economy is going through a change, there are industries highly affected in a negative way by the current context but also are industries that bloomed such as the retail and the delivery services. Before the Covid 19 it was hard to find candidates for the courier companies, but the situation turned upside down because now are almost the most available jobs in the blue-collar market. In the same time the on-line shopping has increased, so we can talk about a serious development in logistic industry. The companies should rethink the business model. It is hard to talk about business expectations main because we have limited control of the international health situation. On short term we cannot expect to a business growth but in the long term most of the business will try to recover by the end of the year.
