The Board of Directors consists of a President and six Vice Presidents:
- Radu Hanga, President
- Carmen Micu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
- Dr. Gabriela Hârțescu, Dean
- Adriana Lobdă, Executive Committee Member
- Bogdan Mihail, Member
- Diana Stafie, Member
- Sergiu Oprescu, Independent Member
The mandates of the current members of the Board of Directors began on 3 July 2026 and have a four-year term.
Through this new leadership structure, Envisia reaffirms its mission to build a trusted circle of professionals who share the principles of good governance and can contribute to improving the quality of decision-making within Romanian organisations. The priorities of the new Board of Directors include strengthening the community and local presence, professionalising board members, increasing boards’ capacity to govern responsibly, and developing strategic dialogue between the private sector and public institutions.

“Taking on this mandate is a firm commitment to Envisia’s mission: to build a trusted circle of professionals brought together around the principles of good governance. We aim to strengthen Envisia’s presence in Romania and, building on this foundation, expand its regional footprint. We want to contribute to establishing new benchmarks for the professionalisation of the governance of public and private entities. By developing strategic dialogue with public institutions and through the continuous development of professionals who serve or aspire to serve on boards of directors, we will continue to promote a governance culture based on trust, integrity, performance and responsibility,” said Radu Hanga, President of the Envisia Board of Directors.
The appointment of Radu Hanga ensures continuity of the mission embraced by Envisia since its foundation and opens a new chapter in the organisation’s development. His experience in the capital markets, the governance of listed companies and the relationship between the business community and market institutions will support Envisia’s ambition to create a broader impact across the governance ecosystem.

“Envisia is opening a new chapter with the appointment of Radu Hanga as President of the Board of Directors, while also honouring the legacy of Professor Andrew Kakabadse, a founding member and initiator of our governance school. Through his extensive experience in the capital markets and listed companies in Romania and across the region, Radu provides continuity to the mission and values on which Envisia was built. I also welcome Sergiu Oprescu to our Board as an independent member. We are honoured and grateful for the contribution Sergiu has already made to our community of professionals serving on boards of directors,” said Carmen Micu, CEO and Founding Member of Envisia.
Sergiu Oprescu is the new independent member of the Board of Directors and brings extensive leadership experience in the financial sector, institutional development and the representation of the banking industry at national and European level. His perspective on the governance of complex organisations, financial markets and institutional collaboration will support both Envisia’s consolidation in Romania and the development of its regional dialogue.

“Joining the Envisia Board of Directors is, for me, a natural continuation of my belief that leaders are developed and support one another over time. The Envisia community has a rare value: it connects generations of professionals beyond the organisations they work in, in a spirit of good governance and responsibility. I want to contribute to strengthening this network so that it continues to serve as a benchmark for the business community in Romania and across the region,” said Sergiu Oprescu, Member of the Envisia Board of Directors.
Envisia thanks Adela Jansen and Simona Pirtea for their contributions during their terms on the Board of Directors. Adela Jansen’s experience in leadership, organisational transformation and board work, together with Simona Pirtea’s legal, entrepreneurial and governance expertise, have brought valuable perspectives to the organisation’s development. Both will continue to support Envisia as members of its community and committed supporters of its mission.
“The new Board of Directors takes on an ambitious mission: to strengthen Envisia as a benchmark in Romania and develop it as a regional player in the field of governance. We are supported by prestigious academic and institutional partners, such as Henley Business School, the Romanian-American University, Academy – Euronext Group and the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Together, we can continue building an ecosystem that connects education, community and board practice, and that makes a concrete contribution to the professionalisation of governance,” added Carmen Micu.
