Ascendis Group ended 2023 with revenues of almost 11 million euros, record achievement for the company
• Ascendis Group revenues reached approximately 11 million euros in 2023, up 5% from 2022, when sales approached the value of 10.4 million euros.
• Andrei Goșu, Ascendis: “In 2024 we are focusing on strengthening the consultant teams for projects in the public sector and for those in the fields of operational efficiency and sustainability. The plan is to exceed the threshold of 11 million euros in revenue this year”.
The Ascendis Group, the leader of the training and consulting market in the field of professional development in Romania, concluded with business of approximately 11 million euros in 2023, increasing by 5% compared to 2022. Last year was the best year in the history of 26 years of the company.
“Sales from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine went very well last year, with an increase of 25% year/year, and the revenues generated there reached the pre-war level. At the beginning of 2023, we anticipate remarkable growth in the Ascendis business, after a 30% increase in group sales in the first quarter compared to 2022. However, along the way, the pace has moderated, and some factories in the center and west of the country have temporarily suspended certain training and team building projects”, said Andrei Goșu, managing partner of the Ascendis group.
Management programs and courses in the use of new technologies were the star divisions of 2023, with the largest increases in requests from companies. Also, last year marked the end of the implementation, by Ascendis, of the biggest project to transform the organizational culture in a public institution.
“In 2024 we are focusing on strengthening the consultant teams for public sector projects and for those in the field of operational efficiency and sustainability. The plan is to exceed the threshold of 11 million euros in revenue this year. We also increased the team: we brought in 2 new sales people and 6 trainers. We also have a communication team that we involve in the organizational transformation projects in which we are consultants”, added Andrei Goșu.
Also in 2024, Ascendis will invest 200,000 euros in the development of its own consultants, through their participation in training programs and international conferences. Of the group’s total revenues of approximately 11 million euros in 2023, over 9 million euros were recorded on Ascendis Consulting – training programs, consulting and corporate events.
The offices in the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine generated sales of over 400,000 euros each, and 750,000 euros represented the revenues from the Code of Talent digital learning platform. On the other hand, this year Ascendis took the decision to close the office in Serbia, because it did not generate the desired results. The soft skills program training market, estimated at an annual value of 30-40 million euros annually, will grow significantly in the coming years, in several segments.
There is an increase in demand for training programs financially supported by the European Union, with a focus on digitization. There are also calls for developing leadership skills in the public sector and for programs to increase operational efficiency and awareness of sustainability issues. The Ascendis Group, founded in 1997, consists of the companies Ascendis Consulting (training, team building and corporate events, consulting, evaluation services, coaching, market studies), Code of Talent (digital learning platform created in partnership with the company Co- Factor), Ascendis Moldova and Ascendis Ukraine.
Founded 26 years ago, the company currently has business lines in training, coaching, consulting, team building, microlearning, HR (Human Resources) and LSS (Lean Six Sigma). Ascendis has a team of over 100 people (consultants, trainers, collaborators and support staff).
