NGI Search launches its 3rd Open Call for Open Source Developers
Financial support of up to €150,000 for technologies and solutions centered on privacy
The NGI Search project, funded under the European Commission’s Horizon Europe programme, aims to support NGI Searchers who will develop technologies and solutions centred on privacy and trust for end-users who are searching and discovering information on the internet. The project is part of Next Generation Internet (NGI), the “Internet for Humans” initiative from the European Commission, and aims to transform the Internet of tomorrow into an Internet of humans that responds to people’s fundamental needs.
With 5 European partners contributing to the project, NGI Search has launched its 3rd Open Call for innovative projects whereby selected applicants will benefit from financial support of up to €150,000 as well as technical, business and innovation support over 12 months, to develop solutions that change the way we use and experience, search and discover data and resources in general on the internet and on the web.
The 3rd Open Call is launched on the 1st of August and remains open until the 2nd of October 2023 at 17.00 CEST.

ABOUT NGI Search
- NGI Search is a project funded by the European Commission and aims to find ambitious “NGI Searchers”.
- The scope of the NGI Search Support Programme is to fund and support NGI Searchers who will develop technologies and solutions centred on privacy and trust for end-users who are searching and discovering information on the internet.
- It will support entrepreneurs, tech-geeks, developers, socially engaged people, SMES (including newly established organisations), research organisations, academic research groups, non-profit organisations etc., applying either individually or within a consortium.
- The selected projects will join a 12-month Support Programme, with a maximum funding of €150.000.
