GSMnet.ro exceeded 30 million euros in turnover last year. Growth prospects of over 10% in 2023
GSMnet, the leader in the GSM accessories and components market in Romania, announces the financial results obtained by the company in 2022. Thus, the company Mobiparts, the owner of the GSMnet brand, reports a turnover of 31 million euros, in a slight increase compared to the previous year. For 2023, the retailer estimates business growth and announces new investments.
The company Mobiparts, based in Constanța, entered the GSM accessories and components market in Romania over 15 years ago through the online platform www.gsmnet.ro, with a varied range of products. The store is aimed at both individuals and resellers. The B2B segment currently consists of a network of over 5,000 companies at the local and international level, which generate about 65% of the company’s turnover.
The business has grown steadily in response to the growing demand for spare parts or accessories for smartphones and other gadgets. If in 2008, Mobiparts reported a turnover of 1.2 million euros, in 2016 the company had reached a turnover of 5 million euros. The evolution of the business subsequently accelerated, so that, in 2022, Mobiparts reported a turnover of 31 million euros, registering a slight increase compared to the previous year, despite inflation and the geopolitical context in the region.
Moreover, at the end of 2022, the GSMnet team had 60 employees, important investments were made at the team level, but also investments in logistics, the storage space being increased by up to 500 square meters. In addition, the company has invested in the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of the premises, which will generate green energy and contribute to reducing the impact on the environment.
“We have more than 15 years of experience in the field of selling GSM accessories and components, and this recommends us as a reliable partner, both for suppliers and customers. We rely on a diversified product portfolio, immediate processing of orders, loyalty programs and dedicated and specialized support for B2B partners,” says Bogdan Cioroianu, general director and founder of the company.
Over the last few years, GSMnet has consolidated its leading position on the GSM accessories and components market in Romania by establishing partnerships with renowned and reliable international brands. Thus, in 2020, GSMnet became an official distributor for OnePlus products. A year later, the local retailer became an official distributor for Huawei products. In 2022, three such significant partnerships were concluded, with vivo, Oppo and RealMe. At the same time, GSMnet is in continuous discussions with other major manufacturers of GSM accessories and components to establish new partnerships.
GSMnet also focused on developing its own brands. Thus, customers of the online store can purchase quality, practical products at a competitive price from the BluePower and BlueShield ranges.
For 2023, Mobiparts estimates a 10% increase in turnover compared to the year just ended. To achieve this goal, the company aims to expand the portfolio of products of interest to customers, expand the team and also expand the portfolio of services for partners.
“To support this growth for 2023, we plan to continue the development in terms of logistics, wanting to expand the office space by up to 400 square meters and increase the storage spaces, which will also be served by an access ramp for high tonnage shots. At the same time, we want to increase the GSMnet team to meet the needs of our customers and offer them the best services,” says Bogdan Cioroianu, general director and founder of the company.
