The European Businesswomen Employers’ Association (PEFA) and the Ministry of National Defense – Strategic Partnership

The European Businesswomen Employers’ Association (PEFA) has signed a strategic partnership with the Ministry of National Defence, with the objective of supporting female leadership and promoting public-private partnerships in Romania. This collaboration marks an essential step in fostering leadership and creating a collaborative environment between the public and private sectors. It stands as a concrete example of the power of institutional cooperation in building a fair and prosperous future.
Andreea Negru, President of PEFA, stated:
“Together with the Ministry of National Defence, we aim to build genuine bridges between the public and private sectors, with a core focus on supporting and promoting female leadership. An important first step in this direction is the joint She for Romania campaign, through which we seek to encourage the active involvement of women in decision-making structures and offer inspirational role models to young women at the beginning of their careers. It is a concrete initiative that contributes to the development of a national ecosystem based on competence, meritocracy, and diversity – the foundations of sustainable progress.”
In turn, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defence, Eduard Bachide, emphasized:
“The Ministry of National Defence firmly supports and promotes free and equal access for both women and men at all levels, with strict adherence to performance and professionalism criteria.
Romania is home to exceptionally valuable women whose dedication, professionalism, and strength are undeniable. We thank them for their courage and constant commitment to fulfilling their missions and we are eager to have them with us in the #SheForRomania campaign. We therefore support the elimination of any gender-based disparities that could affect a healthy and equitable professional environment, as well as the balanced career development of all our employees.”
Lorena Stoian, First Vice President of PEFA, added:
“This partnership is a concrete example of strategic collaboration between institutions with shared values. We strongly believe that investing in education, continuous development, and supporting young women at the beginning of their careers can drive profound and lasting change. PEFA is committed to bringing the expertise of the business environment in support of initiatives that promote excellence and balance within Romanian society.”
PEFA and the Ministry of National Defence will continue to collaborate in developing initiatives that promote excellence, active involvement, and the consolidation of a sustainable future for Romania.
