MindHub summer school: camps where children learn robotics and programming, play sports and explore nature
MindHub, the international network of programming courses for children and adolescents, announces the resumption of the Summer School in its centers in Romania.
With the help of technology, children can discover the world of robotics in workshops on art and creativity, programming and exploring nature. Throughout the summer (July-August), interested parents can opt for camps organized by MindHub centers in Bucharest (3 centers), Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Craiova, Baia Mare, Constanta and Arad. The camps, addressed to children between 6 and 11 years old, include modules focused on various topics, which can be run, at choice, for one, two, three or four weeks. The costs of MindHub camps vary depending on the period, theme or center chosen.
They start from 300 lei (rate for one week / participant) and can reach 1,360 lei (rate for 4 weeks / participant) for half-day programs, while full programs, full-time , have prices that vary between 700 lei (one week / participant) and 3,100 lei (4 weeks / participant).
The groups include 6-8 children / workshop, depending on the theme and the age of the participants. The full list of centers and options can be found here. Programming, sports and outdoor activities
The Summer School includes programs (daily or for half a day, at choice) designed to take place weekly, from Monday to Friday, between 8.30. and 18.30 (depending on the module), which are based on programming courses organized with the help of games and robots, but also art and creativity laboratories, exploring nature, planets and the human body – all adapted to the ages of students. At the end of the programming workshops, children can exercise outdoors by playing sports such as football, basketball or tennis.
In addition, dance classes will be introduced this year. Outings are organized every week, depending on the theme of that week. In Constanța, for example, the MindHub center organizes workshops by the sea. Starting this year, the MindHub summer school will include an increased number of coding projects, which will familiarize children with the basic principles of programming.
“All six editions of the Summer School so far have proven to be very successful, thanks to the attractive combination of programming and robotics workshops with outdoor activities, which has given children the opportunity to socialize and exercise. In free time. Proof that, from year to year, we have an increasing number of parents interested in enrolling their children “, said Polly Yankova, the founder of the MindHub network.
According to her, over 1100 children participated in the camps of the MindHub summer school in Romania in 2021, while this year the number of those enrolled will be over 2000 participants.
