Bosch Service Solutions opens global procurement hub in Timisoara

Bosch is consolidating its position in the outsourcing services area by expanding the business segments represented in the Service Solutions division of Timisoara (BSO), where it recently inaugurated a global procurement hub.

The new Indirect Strategic Procurement department is based on a team of professionals, specialized procurers with extensive expertise, whose responsibilities include managing suppliers and all stakeholders, contract negotiations targeting customer requests from all regions of Europe, and other strategic tasks.

In order to support the continuous development of its operations, in 2021, Bosch Services Solutions from Timisoara employed approximately 600 people specialized in fields such as software development, IT Help Desk, customer service, controlling, accounting, project management, logistics, procurement and sales, of which 50 specialists work exclusively in the new department.

“Although we are still at the beginning of the road, we are a dynamic team and passionate about what is happening in this field”, says Adrian Comanean, the manager of the procurement hub in Timișoara. “Our department covers the entire range of activities related to the procurement area, from market research to contract management that we manage with the help of advanced “Source to Contract” procurement software, developed on a Cloud platform. This aspect offers our colleagues a lot of development and growth perspectives..

The procurement hub in Timișoara assumes responsibility for strategic procurement and management, on a global scale, of various categories of services and products, such as logistics services, professional services, IT equipment and services, machinery and production lines, production equipment maintenance (MRO) operations, building management services, and for the correct and efficient management of all needs arising from Bosch Group locations at European level. “There are two key components to the structure of our indirect procurement organization. One of them deals exclusively with the strategic procurement segment, and the second manages the operational tasks and is an independent entity. Specifically, we are a team of purchasers that deals with negotiations, the management of suppliers and stakeholders, as well as other tasks, both strategic and operational,“ added Comanean.
