WE AS WEB surpasses €66 million in turnover in 2025 and estimates at least 40% growth in 2026
- Romania remains the group’s main growth engine, with over €50 million generated by local entities
- Revenues nearly doubled in one year, driven by enterprise projects and AI integration
- AI accelerates delivery and increases demand for advanced skills
- From 500 to over 1,100 employees in a single year
Romanian software development company We As Web, one of the fastest-growing players in Romania’s enterprise software and digital transformation sector, closed 2025 with consolidated revenues exceeding €66 million, marking an accelerated growth of more than six times compared to 2022 and an estimated EBITDA of approximately €10 million.
In the past year alone, revenues nearly doubled, driven by the expansion of enterprise projects and the accelerated integration of artificial intelligence into delivery processes. Of the total revenues, more than €50 million represents turnover generated by the Romanian entities, while approximately €16 million comes from the group’s international entities.
For 2026, the company estimates at least 40% growth in turnover, supported by already signed contracts and the existing commercial pipeline.
In recent years, We As Web has accelerated its expansion into international markets, developing operations in Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, the Netherlands, and the United States, and more recently in Switzerland, Israel, and New Zealand.
“For We As Web, 2025 was not only financially solid, but also the moment when long-term strategic decisions began producing visible results at scale. We believe we fully confirmed our maturation this year as a relevant international player in software development and advanced technology services. Delivery excellence, financial discipline, and continuous investment in people have been the constants that made these results and this growth pace possible,” said Gabriel Zahan, CEO of We As Web.
This evolution comes in a context where the IT market is entering a phase of maturity, and companies across various industries are accelerating investments in automation, operational optimization, and AI integration into critical business processes. Demand is no longer focused solely on software development, but increasingly on providers’ ability to understand business architecture and deliver scalable solutions with measurable impact.
A key factor in the company’s development has been the transition of artificial intelligence from experimentation to execution. In 2025, AI became an integral part of the company’s day-to-day operations, being used both in client projects and in internal processes and business decisions. For We As Web, artificial intelligence has not been treated as a trend, but as a real accelerator of delivery and the ability to tackle highly complex projects.
Starting in 2024, We As Web allocated part of its revenues to developing an internal AI Lab, a strategic initiative designed to turn artificial intelligence into a solid organizational capability. The investment focused on applied research, testing in real projects, and defining clear standards for responsible AI usage. The effects were fully visible in 2025, when integrating AI into delivery processes increased execution speed, accuracy, and project consistency without compromising quality.
AI has been used as a team accelerator, not as a substitute for human expertise. The company follows a firm principle: it implements AI only where it delivers real value, after both technical and operational validation, before integration into delivery processes.
In practical terms, this resulted in faster and more efficient project delivery, but also in increased demand for advanced skills, critical thinking, and integration capabilities. As a result, We As Web grew from approximately 500 employees at the beginning of 2025 to over 1,100 professionals by the end of the year, driven by strong demand for complex projects where delivery speed and AI integration must be matched by advanced technical expertise and a deep understanding of the client’s business context.
“We observed a clear phenomenon in 2025: the more we use AI in real projects, the greater the need for better developers, not fewer. Far from replacing specialists, AI changes the nature of their work and raises professional standards. It accelerates delivery and reduces time spent on repetitive tasks, while increasing project complexity. As development speed increases, expectations around quality, scalability, and security also rise. In this context, human expertise becomes even more valuable,” explained Robert Pop, Head of AI at We As Web.
International expansion also played an important role in the results achieved. Teams in Germany, the United Kingdom, and other international markets contributed to delivering enterprise projects in industries such as financial services, manufacturing, and complex digital platforms. This operating model enables the group to function in an integrated manner, with Romanian entities playing a central role in value creation, regardless of the client’s market.
A defining moment of 2025 was the company’s involvement in the CUBE joint venture, an IT entrepreneurial ecosystem created to address the demands of large-scale enterprise projects in multi-vendor and multidisciplinary environments. Participation in CUBE expanded the company’s ability to manage complex programs and marks a natural step toward a higher level of maturity in delivering integrated technology solutions.
For 2026, We As Web announces a phase of consolidation and controlled scaling, including organic growth, continued investment in people and advanced competencies (AI, scalable architectures, cybersecurity), as well as the evaluation of potential merger and acquisition opportunities. Through responsible AI adoption and a prudent financial strategy, We As Web strengthens its position as a trusted partner for companies seeking not just fast delivery, but sustainable long-term value.
