Gabriela Popescu, the new Country Manager for Microsoft Romania, Moldova and the CIS region
Starting March 1, Gabriela Popescu has taken over the position of Country Manager for Microsoft Romania, Moldova and the CIS.
Gabriela has extensive experience in legal, business and technology, with extensive expertise in commercial and regulatory issues, compliance and collaboration, in Central and Eastern Europe. Gabriela joined Microsoft Romania in 2017, and most recently served as Interim General Manager, alongside her role as Head of Corporate, External and Legal Affairs for Central Europe, supporting Microsoft’s operations and strategic initiatives across the region.
With a proven track record in navigating complex regulatory environments and building trusted partnerships with clients, policymakers and industry stakeholders, Gabriela is ideally positioned to continue driving Romania’s digital transformation and accelerating the responsible adoption of AI, with a strong focus on business growth, economic competitiveness and trust.
