Zitec Group reports a turnover of 38 million euros in 2025 and consolidates its position on the Romanian IT market
Zitec, a leader in IT and digital transformation solutions, recorded a consolidated turnover of 38 million euros in 2025. In a local and international context marked by instability and heightened caution on the part of companies, Zitec maintains an upward trend and achieved a growth of 14% in 2025.
The economic reality was difficult in 2025, with high inflation and tax changes that tempered investments. Even so, the average declared turnover of companies dedicated to IT services was slightly increasing, reaching a value 3.6% higher in the period January 1–November 30, 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to the INS, while for international markets Gartner estimates a growth of 4.4%.
“The last year was a real test for us, with the IT services segment going through a period of heightened volatility. In this context, we chose to accelerate the company’s maturation through operational discipline, strengthening relationships with existing clients and strategic investments in people and technology. At the same time, we continued our international expansion, by expanding our portfolio in Western European and US markets,” said Alex Lăpușan, CEO & CO-founder of Zitec.
Zitec is consolidating its position as a strategic partner for clients in key industries such as logistics, financial services and retail. A relevant example is the long-term partnership with SAMEDAY, one of the most well-known brands in Romania, whose services are used by over 5.3 million Romanians. At the same time, in 2025 Zitec delivered complex strategic projects, including digital transformation initiatives for companies such as Nexent Bank or Leroy Merlin, contributing to consolidating their position as leaders in their industries.
In addition, Zitec has strengthened its commitment as a trusted partner in the digitalization of the public sector, supporting institutions such as the Romanian Digitalization Authority (ADR), the Ministry of Public Finance, ANAF, Romanian Post and Electrica Furnizare.
Regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence, in 2025 the emphasis has shifted to real value, efficiency and scalability. Zitec is pragmatically approaching this technology, with a focus on business impact, already demonstrated through collaborations with major financial institutions in Europe and the USA. In lending automation projects for SMEs, for example, Zitec has contributed to a process of delivering answers on eligibility in under 2 hours, increasing the capacity of small teams to process hundreds of requests daily. Also, in collaboration with two of the largest utility companies in Romania, successes have been recorded in the automatic processing, with the help of AI, of over 80% of customer requests, the equivalent of over 80,000 requests per year.
In 2025, the public sector and financial services business lines generated revenue increases of 139% and 83%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
The portfolio of proprietary products continues to play an important role in Zitec’s growth strategy:
● At the beginning of the year, the company launched Movacy.com, the software solution dedicated to the last-mile and courier industry, also debuting on international markets in Western Europe and laying the foundation for its global expansion. Results and the first international contracts for this product will be announced soon.
● Mirro.io, the product developed by Zitec that brings clarity to organizations, recorded a 44% increase in 2025 compared to 2024. The platform is used by organizations to support the execution of strategy in a coherent way, providing visibility and clarity on objectives, performance and progress, with a direct impact on how people collaborate and deliver results. Companies that have used Mirro consistently for at least 12 months reported an average increase of 90% in the degree of team alignment with objectives and a 40% reduction in the time allocated to assessment and alignment processes compared to previous methods.
● Regista.ro, the solution for automating processes in public institutions and other organizations in Romania, exceeded the 2 million euro turnover threshold in 2025, an increase of almost 20% compared to the previous year.
Regarding investments, in 2025 Zitec allocated approximately 2 million euros for team development, a budget 12.6% higher than the previous year. The investments aimed at both strengthening technical skills and developing soft skills, considered essential in a context marked by rapid change. In the last year, the company has accelerated innovation initiatives, especially in the area of AI, which it has connected with leadership programs to strengthen critical skills. At the same time, Zitec continued its wellbeing programs with a focus on physical, mental and financial health and initiatives that support team belonging.

“In a difficult year, we managed to provide stability to both our team and our clients. It was a year in which the results of over 20 years of building a culture based on trust and autonomy were seen, perhaps more clearly than ever. Trust is easy to maintain when things are going well; the real test comes when the situation becomes difficult. For us, this year required resilience, maturity, the ability to adapt and learn at an even faster pace than the one the software industry has already accustomed us to,” says Simona Lăpușan, COO & CO-founder of Zitec.
Amid a trend towards returning to office work, more and more organizations are giving up flexibility. Zitec, however, maintains its hybrid & remote friendly policy, based on trust and responsibility, offering colleagues the freedom to work from home, from the offices in Bucharest and Brașov or from co-working spaces in the rest of the country.
“For 2026, we aim to diversify our client portfolio and accelerate international expansion, with a strong focus on our Data & AI services. We focus on delivering projects with real impact, tailored to client needs, through a mix of modern technologies and business consulting. In parallel, we use AI as an engine for increasing internal productivity, to scale efficiently, constantly innovate and provide measurable value in each collaboration. Last but not least, we will be active in the direction of market consolidation: we are actively looking for Romanian companies with valuable teams that want to join us”, added Alex Lăpușan.
