38 projects have entered the final evaluation stage for the ANIS 2025 Scholarships
The winners will be announced at the ANIS Scholarship Gala, on November 12, 2025, in Iași.
ANIS, the Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry, announces the list of the 38 finalist projects within the ANIS Scholarships 2025 program – an edition that brings to the fore academic staff and doctoral students who transform education through technology and innovation.
The finalists represent universities from across the country (Cluj, Iași, Timișoara, Sibiu, Brașov, Oradea, Craiova, Bacău, Constanța and Bucharest) and will next go through the final evaluation stage, consisting of individual interviews with the judging committee, made up of industry specialists, academic staff and former scholarship holders.
This stage allows for an in-depth analysis of each project and will decide the 25 winners of the 2025 edition, who will be announced at the ANIS Scholarships Gala, on November 12, in Iași.
“The final stage is the moment when the evaluation committee makes a tiebreaker following direct discussions with the applicants. We are impressed by the quality and diversity of the proposals – from AI and Cybersecurity, to Tech for All and Quantum Computing – a sign that the Romanian academic environment is becoming increasingly connected to global trends”, said Corina Vasile, Executive Director of ANIS.
Most projects come from the areas of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Tech for All (8 each), followed by Cybersecurity (6), Big Data and Internet of Things (4 each). Areas such as Healthtech, Cloud Computing and, for the first time, Quantum Computing, complete the palette of academic innovation.
Through the ANIS Scholarships, the association encourages young academics to integrate modern teaching methods and emerging technologies into the educational process. The program is a platform for collaboration between academia and the IT industry, stimulating the development of digital skills and creating bridges between education and the business environment.
For the second consecutive year, the winners of the ANIS scholarships will receive free medical subscriptions from the partner Regina Maria for a period of 1 year.
The 2025 edition is made possible with the support of the partners: Adobe Romania, Amazon Romania, Bitdefender, Booking Holdings Romania, Cognizant Technology Solutions Romania, DB Global Technology, Endava Romania, Eviden Romania, IBM Romania, Orange Services, Siemens Romania, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre and SoftServe Romania.
The complete list of finalists is available in the Annex.
