Societe Generale European Business Services launches 200.000 Euro worth financing program to support non-governmental projects
Societe Generale European Business Services launches ”We Care Together” financing program aimed at supporting projects developed by non-governmental and non-profit organizations in Romania and offering financial support worth a total of 200,000 Euro.
The first SG EBS funding program aims to support the initiatives created by NGOs in the fields of professional integration and education and comes as a natural continuation of the company’s commitment to have a positive impact on society and the environment by supporting vulnerable communities.
Through the We Care Together program, SG EBS hopes to boost creativity, performance and responsibility, but also to provide financial support for the implementation of actions that will shape a more inclusive future. An essential component of the proposed programs should be volunteering, as SG EBS wants to involve its employees and give them the opportunity to play an active role in the evolution of the projects.
According to a statement of the company, the financing program targets two types of projects:
- Professional integration: Projects that support vulnerable people to integrate into the labor market through: support projects for insertion in the labor market, professional or entrepreneurial counseling that offers them the necessary tools to overcome the obstacles to employment.
- Integration through education: Projects focusing on integration through education, especially for children or young people in a vulnerable situation. Projects may include various actions that respond to the different needs of the beneficiaries: educational projects through sports and cultural activities to encourage integration, training and skills development programs, qualification / retraining courses, projects for preventing school dropout, combating illiteracy, education programs mentorship and professional counseling or insertion programs in the labor market.

We want to act for the benefit of individual and collective interests, creating the right conditions for the emergence of certain initiatives, which will bring important and sustainable changes to the Romanian landscape and which will help disadvantaged communities. The period of submission of projects will be one month, from February 27 to March 27, after which an internal jury, consisting of 6 specialists from different fields within the company, will select the projects that will receive funding from SG EBS.
