ICI Bucharest and BIAS announce the launch of a new NFT collection
Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) announces the launch of the first exclusive collection of NFTs, in an innovative collaboration with the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, on the institutional platform ICI D|SERVICES.
The project marks a premiere in world aviation. BIAS becomes the first air show in the world to launch its own collection of NFTs and thus offers a unique opportunity for aviation and technology enthusiasts to own an authentic digital souvenir from a world-renowned event. The collection will be available for sale in the coming period.
NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) represent a revolutionary way to own and trade unique digital objects, and the BIAS collection will include digital illustrations of the aircraft and aerobatics demonstrations that have made this event famous. Each NFT will be a unique token, offering owners not only a digital souvenir, but also access to a part of the history and tradition of the largest air show in Romania.
The NFTs collection, titled “Cloud Chasers”, will be officially presented and launched during a press conference to be held on August 18, 2025, at the Bucharest Băneasa “Aurel Vlaicu” International Airport. This collection represents the anniversary of 15 years of aviation excellence and also the first steps that BIAS wants to take in new emerging technologies, such as blockchain and Web3. The collection will be launched in a limited number of 50 unique units, of which 15 units will be labeled “Stratosphere VIP”. All NFTs will have new attributes and unique utility and invite digital art collectors on a new aviation adventure.
The limited NFTs collection is made in partnership with ICI Bucharest, a leader in the field of research and development of innovative IT solutions in Romania, and thus marks a collaboration between aviation tradition and cutting-edge technology.
