Accenture Romania and the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Bucharest announce the inauguration of a modern classroom that will host innovative study programs
Accenture Romania and the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Bucharest have inaugurated the Accenture Student Lab, a modern classroom, following a EUR 100,000 investment.
“The opening of this new classroom marks a significant milestone in our partnership with Romanian academia. The modernization of the space, together with the development of customized curricula, represents a direct contribution to training the next generation of leaders and innovators. Through the Accenture Student Lab, our objective is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the future workforce,” said Raluca Burghelea, Country Managing Director of Accenture Romania.
The new 70-seat classroom at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures has been designed to provide a modern and interactive learning environment.
In the new classroom, Accenture will run an innovative program of practical courses for students’ professional and personal development. The program covers a wide range of topics important for success in the digital era, including critical thinking, resilience, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the future.
“The renovation of the Pushkin Amphitheater, carried out with the support of Accenture, is part of an ongoing process of modernization of the educational facilities of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures. “Through this collaboration, our objective is to provide students with a modern learning environment that supports their professional and personal development. We are pleased to have Accenture as a partner and look forward to continuing our work together on future projects that will benefit our students and faculty,” said Prof. Dr. Laura Sitaru, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
The program also focuses on developing effective communication skills, increasing the ability to work in diverse teams, and identifying and capitalizing on each student’s strengths. Each course is designed to provide students with practical tools and knowledge directly applicable to their professional and personal lives.
Accenture Romania is committed to investing in various educational programs that support the development of digital and professional skills among young people. This latest collaboration with FLLS follows a similar partnership with the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies that commenced two years ago. Accenture’s broader educational initiatives include the Accenture Academy, which offers courses and workshops in areas such as robotics, Internet of Things, Cloud, AI, and digital engineering. Another key program is the Digital Skills Academy, which is run in collaboration with Teach for Romania and Junior Achievement Romania, which trained more than 1,000 students in essential digital skills in 2024; and internship programs, the most well-known of which is the IndustryX program, which focuses on the digitization of engineering and manufacturing using advanced technologies such as AR/VR, cloud and AI. These initiatives aim to prepare young people for the challenges of an ever-evolving digital world, and provide them with career opportunities in key fields.
