With a flexible design, the Equilibrium 1 building focuses on implementing sustainable solutions, that significantly reduce energy and water consumption. Throughout the building the lighting is LED and there are motion sensors in the common spaces. The heating and ventilation equipment is class A+ efficient. We have also contracted 100% electricity from renewable sources to operate the Equilibrium 1 building. All these measures have resulted in a 38% reduction in energy consumption over the past year.
To improve water efficiency, we have integrated solutions such as grey water systems, which treat domestic wastewater from bathroom sinks and showers before reusing it for non-potable uses such as toilets, and rainwater harvesting systems, which are used to irrigate the green spaces around our buildings. In addition, the building’s energy consumption is monitored and displayed on a screen in the reception area.
Equilibrium1 and Equilibrium2 are office buildings that prioritize the comfort, safety, and health of their occupants and users. As a result, both buildings are LEED Platinum certified. LEED certification is an international recognition of the quality of a building’, emphasizing efforts to minimize its environmental impact and providing a superior working environment for all users.
