Orange Educational Program rewards new generations of graduates
Orange Educational Program, the educational project that raises future generations of telecommunications specialists and the first sustainability initiative implemented by Orange in Romania (1997), today awarded new graduates of the Orange Educational Program – the Politehnica University of Bucharest.
At the graduation gala, which took place at the Orange Training Center, 33 students, of which 52% were girls, received the diploma certifying the completion and completion of the Orange academic education program in the year 2022-2023.
Of these, 8 completed their undergraduate studies within the company, 3 were financially supported with scholarships worth 4,400 euros, and 8 became part of the Orange Romania team. Also, within the Orange Educational Program – “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iași, a session of courses and laboratories, SpringSchool 2023, was held in April, attended by over 50 students from Iași and the Republic of Moldova.
Added to these results are those registered within the Orange Educational Program – “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University from Iași, which awarded 2 PhD students. The total value of the investments made by Orange for the training of students is approximately 41,000 euros. At the same time, also this year, new generations of students became part of the Orange Educational Program: 28 young people in the initiative taking place at the Politehnica University of Bucharest and 3 at the Transilvania University of Brașov, who thus join the 9 university centers part of the program: Politehnica University of Bucharest (since 1997), “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi (since 2018), “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi (since 2020), Ovidius University of Constanța (since 2020), University of ” Lucian Blaga” in Sibiu (from 2021), the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (from 2021), the Polytechnic University of Timișoara (from 2021), the West University of Timișoara (from 2021) and Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca (2022) ).
The scholarships that Orange will offer in the academic year 2023-2024 are worth 20,000 euros.

The Orange Educational Program is complementary to the Orange Fab and Orange 5G Lab programs.
