One out of 2 companies in Romania that buy business digitalization software solutions, without accessing adjacent services, will never use them or will abandon their use after several unsuccessful attempts, according to DigiSinergy, a technology and expert in the digital transformation of businesses. In the absence of qualified personnel, companies are unable to manage the transformation of current processes in order to integrate digitization applications.

At the same time, 30% of the analyzed companies use digitalization applications purchased at a minimal capacity, of only 10%. In the absence of business analysis, in which the functionalities and limits of the purchased solutions are established, companies are unable to connect the various functionalities of the applications with their needs. On the other hand, when customers are supported by vendors and in the implementation process, applications will be able to be used to a greater capacity than expected.

However, we are at an early stage, where too few managers and decision-makers know that digitalization is not limited to the purchase of an application, a software. In digitization, one size does not fit all.
Most of the companies now buy software without a prior business analysis and will never customize the solution according to their internal needs, goals and protocols. In addition, without support for implementation and adaptation to the internal way of working, the solution will not fulfill its purpose”, says Natalia Lepădatu, co-founder of DigiSinergy.

The results will be as expected when the purchased software is doubled by the pre and post purchase services. Business analysis, solution customization, implementation and training are all the more mandatory in companies that do not have qualified personnel for these stages.

Even when the customer communicates to the solution provider what the digitalization expectations are, the calibration of the solutions proposed by the provider requires a run-in period to achieve maximum efficiency.
There may be a gap between what the customer wants and what the application initially delivers, even if all requirements have been communicated, agreed upon and implemented. During the use of the solution, the customer will be able to really understand how many aspects he can improve through digitization and will request things that he only notices in the process and considers necessary.
