Start for registrations at Generation Z Day – Digital academy and laboratory of ideas for young Romanians
C.A.E.S.A.R. Foundation launches the project “Generation Z Day” – a digital academy succeeded by a laboratory of ideas and initiatives, through which young Romanians in the country and in the diaspora to receive support to shape and materialize their dream for their future and for the future of Romania in five areas important for Romanian society: education, health, culture, energy and environment, smart cities.
Young people are the most valuable resource in every country. The future is in their hands. The steps they are taking are the steps their country is taking. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world’s young people are more than ever struggling to shape their future. Generation Z Day is a project that wants to provide young Z (high school students, students and young Romanian professionals up to 25 years) the tools needed to define and strengthen their dream for the future. The energy and enthusiasm of young people to materialize their multitude of beautiful ideas need concrete support and direction.
The project has two stages:
(A) the digital academy and (B) the laboratory of ideas and initiatives.
Through (A) the digital academy, Generation Z Day helps young people to articulate their stories coherently and beautifully and to know the tools with which they can develop and implement an idea. Among the courses taught are: storytelling, story sharing, Romanian – frequent mistakes in translating phrases from Romanian to English, branding, agile project management, etc., to which is added a package of psychometric tests and personal development techniques.
In the (B) laboratory of ideas and initiatives, participants will be divided into teams to develop projects designed to solve or improve situations encountered in the five areas already mentioned: education, health, culture, energy and environment, smart cities.
Among the already confirmed trainers of the digital academy, we announce important representatives of the Romanian society such as: Cătălin Ştefănescu, journalist and host of the show Garantat 100%, Iulia Stănescu, Digital Marketing Consultant and co-organizer of SocialPedia, Eugen Coandă, expert in Lean-Agile philosophy and product management and Mia Munteanu, entrepreneur in the creative industry.
“Formal and non-formal education, meaningful and relevant, of Romania’s young people is the safest and most important source of oxygen for Romania of tomorrow. Through Generation Z Day we want to create a support system for young Romanians, to identify Generation Z ambassadors and to support their voice, now that they want to contribute to creating change on everyone’s lips,” says Elena Kuji Buteică, project coordinator, Generation Day Z.
