Zitec, leader on the IT & digital marketing market in Romania, specialized in the development of digital transformation solutions and services, registered a turnover of 10.5 million euros in 2020, increasing by 50% compared to the previous year.
Over the last ten years, the company’s evolution has continued on an upward trend, reporting an average annual business growth rate of 29%.
For the current year, Zitec relies on the development of software development segments, cloud and e-commerce solutions, mobile applications and blockchain solutions, web design and digital marketing. In addition to these directions, the company will continue to invest in the development of its own products – Regista and Mirro.io, designed to support private companies and public institutions in their digital transformation processes.
Throughout 2020, Zitec continued to develop projects for clients in Europe and the US, helping them streamline their business and reduce the impact of the pandemic on their businesses. These include customers from various industries, renowned nationally and internationally, such as: Sameday, ST Microelectronics, Flanco, eMAG, PayU, Credit Europe Bank, iELM or Startarium.
The company also reported very good results in the segments of customized software solutions and cloud solutions, developed by both Microsoft and Google, registering a growth of 300% in 2020 and reaching the value of 2 million euros. The growth was supported by the projects developed for the clients from the company’s portfolio such as: Decathlon, Sameday, Flanco, Vivre, 7Card, Teilor or Adore Me.
The results recorded by the company in 2020 were also possible due to the maturity of Zitec’s partnerships with Google, Microsoft and Adobe (Magento Commerce). Starting in July 2020, Zitec became Google Cloud Premier Partner, the highest level for partners who have demonstrated performance in implementing Google Cloud solutions to increase business results. Also last year, the company was included by Google Cloud in the list of the first nine Recommendations AI partners worldwide who can implement the Google solution.
Throughout last year, Zitec focused on growing the team and attracting talented people through an exclusively online recruitment process. Thus, the company ended the year with a team of 187 members, increasing by 22% compared to December 2019, joining a total of 58 new colleagues. Next, Zitec aims to expand the team with specialists such as PHP Developer, Magento Developer, Security Analyst, DevOps Engineer, Lead Frontend Engineer, Content Marketer and Business Developer.
Zitec’s own products Regista and Mirro , essential digital tools in the context of the pandemic
Regista, market leader in the segment of registry applications and document management in local public administration, continued last year the digitization of public institutions through the Regista Caravan, but also by launching the Essential Guide for digitizing the city hall.
Thus, the number of Regista customers increased by over 37%, the solution generating total business of 750,000 euros. To date, about 600 public institutions and companies in all counties of the country have improved their work processes and reduced bureaucracy using Regista. The application has over 12,000 users nationwide who have registered over time 11 million documents.
The second own product in Zitec’s portfolio, Mirro.io, helps companies build and sustain a culture oriented towards transparency, recognition and continuous feedback, being an essential tool in developing performance within organizations. Mirro encourages the alignment of team members with the company’s objectives, and through HR management modules simplifies personnel management processes. Mirro.io is currently used by customers around the world, from countries such as Romania, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, France, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Turkey, Portugal, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Israel, Slovakia and Estonia. .

Regarding the Digital Marketing division, it registered a total turnover of 1.5 million euros, increasing by 100% compared to the previous year. The division also expanded its team to 18 specialists with Google Ads, Google Analytics and Facebook Blueprint certifications to cover the increase in the number of clients and projects.
