Zitec reports revenues up more than 50 percent in H1 of 2020
Zitec, leader on the IT & digital marketing market in Romania, reports for the first 6 months of 2020 revenue increases of over 50% compared to the same period in 2019.
With the team entirely in the remote working mode, Zitec has continued at an accelerated pace the development of digital transformation projects together with customers from various industries, amid the needs of modernization of business infrastructure and IT processes in the context of the pandemic.
In the first half of 2020, Zitec supported its customers and partners in the digital transformation, helping them to improve their efficiency in the face of increased business flow, or to overcome the negative effects of the pandemic on business. The company recorded large increases especially for the custom software and cloud solutions segments through projects developed with existing customers such as Arctic, Decathlon, Sameday, STMicroelectronics, Credit Europe Bank, Flanco, Chimpex, or new customers entering the company’s portfolio in the first half: Startarium and RGT Cycling.
The accelerated activity of recent months has resulted in an increase of over EUR 1.5 million in the company’s revenue compared to the same period last year, and was also possible due to the maturity of partnerships with Google Cloud, Microsoft and Magento Commerce (Adobe), Zitec managing to offer its customers top cloud and e-commerce services and access to the latest solutions.
“In the context of a difficult situation that required the acceleration of digitalization, we supported our customers and partners, including local public administration, in this process of transformation through personalized services and solutions with immediate applicability. Reference projects developed by our team in the first part of the year include the development of a customer loyalty application for the retailer Decathlon, the launch of the Avantaj2Go mobile application of Credit Europe Bank, the development of a module for the Magento 2 platform for Innoship and digital campaigns marketing for all three Arctic group brands in Romania: Arctic, Beko and Grundig. For the second part of the year, we estimate the continuation of this growth trend, supported by the ongoing projects. We want to reach a turnover of 10 million EUR in 2020 “, said Alexandru Lăpușan, CEO and co-founder of Zitec.
The first months of 2020 also marked the start of the Caravana Regista campaign for Zitec, a mobile unit that set off on a journey through Romania to accelerate digitalization in public institutions. The caravan has already traveled through 200 localities in 10 counties and presented the benefits of Regista, the complete application for registration and document management, directly at the town halls. The director automates the activity in public institutions and facilitates online communication between citizens and authorities. The e-Government public portal covers a wide range of needs, from consulting public documents, sending online applications, to making online appointments and submitting complaints, being an extremely useful tool for public administration during the pandemic for over 500 town halls and over 10,000 civil servants who use the application daily.
Plans for 2020
By the end of the year, Zitec aims to expand the team with specialists for roles such as PHP Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, Lead Frontend Engineer, Lead QA Engineer, Security Software Developer, DevOps Engineer, Magento Developer, Digital Marketing Specialist in Bucharest, Brasov but also in other cities, offering the opportunity to work remotely.
Using its own product, Mirro.io, the Zitec team is supported during the social distance, having all the conditions to work efficiently from home: team members could easily stay connected to each other, aligned with the company’s objectives, with visibility on the results colleagues, giving and receiving real-time feedback.
Based on the identification of new needs both among its own team and in those of the companies that adopted Mirro, this year the Zitec team continued to develop the application. Thus, the solution was completed with several reports and graphs that provide useful information about the distribution of the team on various criteria, the distribution of holidays and salaries, which helps companies to have an overview and objectively analyze data related to the management of personal. Also, the investment continued in the onboarding area of new customers, the duration from purchase to use being reduced to only a few hours, compared to a duration of weeks or even months as in the case of similar applications.
