SGS acquires US-based Prescient Security, an expert in enterprise cybersecurity and digital compliance
SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Prescient Security, one of the leading providers of information compliance and cybersecurity services in the United States.
With more than 350 employees and 5,000 customers globally, Prescient Security is recognized as a leading expert in information security, financial integrity, payment security, data protection, and cybersecurity certification.
Its solutions help organizations protect against digital and cyber threats across a wide range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, retail, technology, and defense.
The company also offers a full range of penetration testing services, combining manual expert assessments, scalable digital approaches, and AI-assisted models. In addition, its proprietary automation technology supports compliance workflows and security processes.
Its certification solutions cover internationally recognized standards and frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO, PCI DSS, and HITRUST, as well as important U.S. federal requirements such as FedRAMP and CMMC.
SGS aims to generate at least CHF 200 million in additional revenue from Digital Trust activities by 2027 compared to 2023. The acquisition of Prescient Security is an important step in expanding the SGS Digital Trust platform and accelerating growth and innovation in this strategic area.
