Equans announces its new IT Hub in Romania and appoints Irina Ciucioi‑Badea as IT Hub Director
Equans, a Bouygues Group company with 83,000 employees operating in 20 countries, in the energy and services sector, is proud to announce the opening of its new IT Hub in Romania, to support Equans Businesses.
This strategic initiative marks a significant milestone in Equans’ ongoing commitment to deliver innovative services to the company’s businesses, securing its critical systems end-to-end, and equipping its global organisation with the IT capabilities required to support future growth. The IT hub in Romania will serve as a capability center by providing Equans’ businesses in multiple countries with:
● data privacy, data sovereignty, and GDPR compliance,
● IT services including identity management, ERP, and AI,
● customer-facing capabilities, particularly for French, English, and German-speaking internal clients.

With the launch of this hub, Equans continues to bolster its digital transformation in line with market demands.
For its new IT Hub in Romania, Equans has appointed Irina Ciucioi-Badea as IT Hub Director. Irina brings over 20 years of international leadership experience across Europe and Asia, with a strong background in Shared Services, Finance, Procurement, and large-scale Digital Transformation.
Throughout her career, she has led large, complex organisations of more than 500 people across the EMEA region, delivering measurable business impact through periods of growth and change.

In her new role, Irina will be responsible for providing strategic leadership aligned with the Group’s objectives, overseeing the setup and development of the IT hub, and ensuring the quality of the delivery of IT services to the Equans ecosystem. She will lead cross-functional teams, with the ambition of positioning Equans IT as an employer of choice on the Romanian market.
Equans IT Hub Romania is expected to begin operations in March 2026, with recruitment and onboarding activities underway.
