Confindustria Romania: Digital security is currently an integral part of all companies
Digital security is now an integral part of all companies, but any connection also represents a risk for the cyber ecosystem, Chairman of Confindustria Romania Andrea Allocco said recently.
“Thanks to the collaboration with the European Cyber Security Competence Centre, we are carrying out a training and education course on cybersecurity and digital security topics. I would say that digital security is now an integral part, or at least it should be, of all companies. There is no company that does not need digital security. We protect ourselves with gates, doors, surveillance cameras. Each of these devices or systems is electronic. There is nothing that is not digital. This also implies that any connection poses a security risk. Now we work with computers, we work with the cloud, we have data everywhere. There is no company that does not have something digital or we are probably all digital companies. This must bring awareness from everyone to make the entire company and its ecosystem digital,” said Andrea Allocco.
According to the Confindustria official, many companies are interested in investing in the digitalisation of their activities and operations.
“Many companies, large companies are already oriented towards this type of activity. In addition to other companies, they experience this only when they have a problem, have a security breach and someone steal all their data and block their accounts. From my point of view, this is an important element, and we, Confindustria, carry these messages forward. I would say that the problem is enormously complex. It starts from a main point, which is that of education and training. First of all, you have to be aware that there is a problem and then you decide to face it. At this moment, from my experience, many companies still do not have this type of daily awareness,” said Allocco.
