The Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest launches the 2026 admission campaign “The World is Work in Progress” and invites young people to build the world they want to live in
The Technical University of Construction Bucharest (UTCB) launches the 2026 admission campaign, under the concept of “The World is Work in Progress”, an invitation addressed to the new generation of students to actively contribute to building the infrastructure and cities of the future.
In a context in which many young people feel uncertainty in the face of the labor market and rapid changes in society, UTCB sends an optimistic message: the world is not a final product, but a project under constant construction, and engineers are the ones who shape it day by day – through safe buildings, roads, water systems, energy and functional cities.
The campaign continues the direction started last year, to dismantle the myths related to technical studies, and emphasizes the real role of engineers in society: that of building things that work and last over time.
“The “World is Work in Progress” campaign is a manifesto for the generation that wants to build, not just consume. At UTCB, students learn that engineering is a continuous process, where every project and every experience contributes to their professional development. We offer our graduates real skills and a solid path into an industry that is constantly in need of specialists. We invite young people to join those who build the world of tomorrow”, said Cezar Vlăduț, Vice-Rector – Student Activities, IT, Communication and Image.
Education connected to industry and real jobs
UTCB collaborates with some of the most important companies in the construction and infrastructure field, offering students internships and real projects even during their studies. As a result, over 90% of graduates are quickly employed after completing their studies.
The university also offers programs taught in foreign languages, facilitating graduates’ access to international careers, and its faculties train specialists in essential fields such as infrastructure, water management, civil engineering or the development of cities of the future, using modern technologies and digital tools, including solutions based on artificial intelligence.
For the academic year 2026, the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest offers a full range of study programs, ensuring access to modern laboratories, international partnerships and active teaching staff in industry and research.
Through the campaign “The World is Work in Progress”, UTCB aims to open a conversation about the role of the new generation in a world in constant change, in which many young people feel uncertainty and the impression that the rules are already established. The campaign emphasizes that the world can be built better, and future engineers are the ones who can shape it responsibly, through well-thought-out projects and solutions adapted to the new technological era, including by integrating artificial intelligence into the profession. UTCB thus invites young people to become part of the generation that not only adapts to change, but also becomes the force that builds it.
