Cyber_Folks Romania buys Hosterion for 6.7 million euros

Cyber_Folks Romania, part of the international Cyber_Folks group, has acquired Hosterion, one of the leading independent web hosting providers in Romania, in a transaction valued at 6.7 million euros. The announcement marks a strategic move aimed at expanding operational capabilities and strengthening Cyber_Folks’ position as a leader in the local digital infrastructure and cloud market.

“The acquisition of Hosterion represents an essential step in our strategy to build, step by step, the leading position in e-commerce in Central and Eastern Europe,” said Adrian Chiruță, co-CEO and shareholder of Cyber_Folks Romania.

He emphasized that the integration of Hosterion, a strong brand, with quality services and a solid entrepreneurial culture, will allow the expansion of technical capacity, customer portfolio and level of expertise. Founded in 2004, Hosterion serves over 13,000 clients and has international operations in London, Chicago and Amsterdam, with annual revenues of 2.1 million euros. Cyber_Folks Romania has reported a steady increase in turnover over the last three years: from 26.3 million lei in 2022 to 29.7 million lei in 2024. For 2025, the company estimates a growth of over 15%, supported by investments in infrastructure and strategic acquisitions such as this transaction.

Cyber_Folks Romania’s clients include well-known brands such as entertix.ro, atvrom.ro, summerwell.ro and jamilacuisine.ro. The company operates from Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest and Bistrița, with two high-performance data centers in Cluj and Bucharest. Cyber_Folks, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, operates in over 100 countries, has approximately 1,000 employees and provides integrated web hosting services, dedicated servers, cloud solutions and digital infrastructure for entrepreneurs, digital creators and large companies from various industries.
