Spin-off: Softbinator Technologies splits from Cornerstone Technologies with 60 employees and the share of blockchain and fintech projects
Softbinator Technologies, a company specializing in blockchain R&D and Artificial Intelligence, has split from Cornerstone Technologies (CST), the new entity being led by Daniel Ilinca. The company’s board is also formed by Alexandru Dianu, COO, Marius Băisan, CTO and Andreea Popa, CFO.
The Softbinator Technologies team currently has 60 IT specialists, and the company plans to hire more than 40 programmers by the end of the year in the offices in Bucharest and Constanța. In addition to expanding on international markets and collaboration plans with local companies, Softbinator Technologies also relies on collaboration with the academic area.
“The decision to integrate senior management into shareholders is aligned with the new objectives, namely the direct involvement of management in the success of the company. In addition to our plans to increase the number of external customers, the volume of projects and the generated turnover, we aim to progressively approach the internal market, on the digital transformation segment”, says Daniel Ilinca, CEO Softbinator Technologies.
Among the most important projects included in the portfolio of the new company are Equatorial – training platform with which Softbinator Technologies develops gamified e-learning solutions, Bittnet – the leader of the IT training market in Romania, TripleMars.com – e-commerce platform from Israel, QuickBoard – software and physical recovery training and monitoring board, CareersInWhite.com – recruitment platform for medical staff, LadyFit.ro – online personalized diet and fitness monitoring platform, Zillearn – edutech solution dedicated to the Singapore market and others blockchain-based fintech solutions such as MoonPay – an online exchange processor from FIAT to crypto-currencies.
The company’s portfolio will also include software and hardware, outsourcing projects, while the focus will be on blockchain, fintech, edutech and gaming.
The company intends to expand its collaboration with the academic area in research projects, equipping it with tech equipment and updating the university curriculum in emerging fields such as blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, machine learning. The Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Bucharest is one of the partners of Softbinator Technologies, a collaboration started several years ago in partnership with the company Cornerstone Technologies CST and which will continue with the new entity, being a continuous program of equipping several computer labs. , but also courses given by the employees of the company.
Softbinator Technologies intends to extend its collaboration with other technical faculties in the cities in which it operates. In the business area, on the other hand, Softbinator Technologies collaborates with a significant number of startups, on projects ranging from software and hardware development, to investments, and starting this year, the company will be involved in projects as well. R&D on this segment.
Softbinator launched as brand in 2011, and together with Softbinator Foundation, it has consolidated as one of the largest communities in the local tech industry. The Softbinator Foundation will continue to be managed by Radu Amariei and Daniel Ilinca and will continue the series of events dedicated to the most important technologies and the expansion of activities in other cities in the country. Softbinator Technologies will support the Foundation’s work, but will operate as two separate entities with independent projects, the company announced.
