Over 53 liters of blood were collected as part of a campaign organized by Genesis Property, with the support of Siemens Romania and the Bucharest Blood Transfusion Center

Genesis Property, one of the leading owners, developers and operators of office buildings in Romania, organized, on May 26-27, in the West Gate Business District office complex, an event through which over 53 liters of blood were donated. Almost 200 people registered for the event, and the donated amount will help 212 people, through transfusion.

The event was organized in partnership with the Bucharest Blood Transfusion Center and the German manufacturer and provider of technology solutions Siemens Romania, as part of the suite of events organized to mark 120 years of Siemens innovation in Romania.
“Opening up to initiatives with real impact is part of our DNA as a responsible business. We believe that sustainability is not only about efficient buildings, but also about healthy and involved communities, and blood donation is a clear example of action with immediate effect, a small gesture that can change destinies. We are happy to see that many people always respond to our calls, some of them being at their first donor experience. These campaigns support a culture of civic involvement, where the common good becomes an objective assumed by most people”, said Elena Panait, Head of Leasing & ComYunitY, Genesis Property.
The action took place in the context of a shortage of recurring donors in Romania, and about 2% of Romanians regularly donate blood, according to official statistics, which ranks the country in one of the last places in the European Union. In these conditions, Genesis Property and Siemens Romania aimed to contribute to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation among local communities.
In 2025, Siemens marks 120 years of innovation in Romania, with a significant contribution to the technological development of our country. The impact of Siemens Romania does not only mean well-trained teams and successful references, but also includes the provision of know-how and technology, the professional training of specialists in the field and the partner network, state-of-the-art solutions and equipment, along with investments, long-term collaboration with technical universities and community involvement. Siemens Romania is one of the longest-standing tenants in the building complex owned by Genesis Property, reaching a presence of almost 20 years in the West Gate Business District. For two years, since the communities in the West Gate Business District and YUNITY Park office parks have been donating life within the campaigns organized by Genesis Property, over 280 liters of blood have been donated, which have helped almost 1,100 patients.
