IT services have contributed to 13.5 per cent business increase at six months
Business market services for enterprises registered an increase of 13.5 per cent in the first 6 months of the year, against the same period of 2018, mainly due to IT services which went up by 24 per cent, INS (National Statistics Institute) showed recently.
Over January 1 – June 30, 2019, increases of business figures for: other services supplied mainly to enterprises (+17.2 per cent), transport activities (+9.8 per cent), communications activities (+5.5 per cent), cinema, video, TV productions, program broadcasts (+3.1 per cent).As an adjusted series, business figures from market services offered mainly to enterprises grew by 14.5 per cent.
According to the source, in June 2019, compared to June 2018, market services offered to enterprises grew on the overall, by 7.3 per cent, backed by the evolution of the business figure from IT services (+18.5 per cent), other services supplied to enterprises (+11.9 per cent), communications activities (+4.8 per cent) and transport activities (+0.6 per cent). On the other hand, cinema, video, TV program activities and program broadcasts went down by 3.2 per cent. At the same time, business figures from market services for enterprises as series adjusted according to the number of workdays and season, went up by 9.5 per cent in June 2019, against June 2018.
Statistic data show that in June 2019, compared to May 2019, the business figure from market services offered to enterprises dropped by 0.9 per cent because of negative results from cinema, video, TV programs, TV broadcasts (-8.2 per cent) and transport activities (-5.9 per cent). In exchange, there were increases for business figures of IT service activities (+5 per cent), other services supplied to enterprises (+1.8 per cent) and communication activities (+1.4 per cent).
