Now in its 19th edition, the GraduateE.ON program supports students in their final year of study, at bachelor’s or master’s level, in the fields of engineering, economics, marketing, business administration, sales or human resources, who want to build a solid career in the energy industry.
Those passionate about technology, energy and sustainability can register for the program until April 21, 2019, on the dedicated page and subsequently, if they qualify for the next stage, they will have to undergo a telephone interview.
The last stage is the testing within the E.ON Assessment Center, which will take place online, over the course of a day. The finalists will benefit from training internships within the operational companies of the E.ON Group in Romania. Over the course of 24 months, they will be guided by dedicated mentors who aim to provide them with a complete experience through their involvement in projects that have an impact on the business.
At each stage of the program, young colleagues will be involved in specific activities in the technical, financial, human resources and many other departments, thus having the opportunity to better shape their image of the energy field, while also bringing added value through their ideas and involvement.
Since the program’s inception, 178 young graduates have been hired through GraduatE.ON. 63% of the young people who entered the program actively contribute to the energy transformation, choosing to continue their professional journey within the company. The feedback received from program participants is important because it helps us to be as close as possible to their expectations but, at the same time, to bring the most creative and dedicated young people to the operational companies.
“I started my professional journey in GraduatE.ON by exploring different internships and departments, which helped me discover what suits me best. My advice for young graduates? Don’t rush to define your career from day one. Take advantage of the flexibility offered by the GraduatE.ON program and explore as many departments as possible – the better you understand the processes, the better prepared you will be for any career challenge!”, believes Ioana Laura Marin, GraduatE.ON Engineer Trainee.
Lucian Pană, GraduatE.ON Economist Trainee: “The biggest challenge was moving to Târgu Mureș, but also an opportunity for growth. This way I got out of my comfort zone and joined a department with a different activity than what I had done before. What do I appreciate most about this program? The flexibility, constant support and motivated colleagues from whom I had a lot to learn. GraduatE.ON is the perfect choice for those who want a solid start in their career!”.
