Orange Romania expands Orange Fab acceleration program with four new innovative startups
Orange Romania announces the inclusion in the Orange Fab acceleration program of four new startups that were selected following the call for projects announced this summer. Chosen from over 30 startups, the 4 selected companies have developed innovative solutions, such as AI glasses that allow blind people to move and orient themselves in the environment, forecast generation for optimizing and managing energy flows with the help of AI, workflow automation or cloud-based solutions for routing, GPS Logistics and Cloud Analytics.
.lumen – develops glasses for the blind, an advanced mobility solution that uses artificial intelligence and robotics, replicating the functionality of an autonomous car, to guide people in the pedestrian environment. The .lumen solution is based on video cameras, AI and ML algorithms, haptic and audio feedback along with broadband connectivity that reproduce the main characteristics of a guide dog. The solution understands the environment, objects, their position and movement in 3D, calculates interaction paths to the desired objects or, in general, depending on the context and transmits information to the blind using haptic and auditory impulses. .lumen is also the first Romanian startup funded by the European Innovation Council – EIC Accelerator, being recognized for its potential, but especially for the benefits brought to people with visual impairments.
