SoftServe donates 1.5 million US dollars to support the “Drive for Life 3.0” initiative and support Ukraine with 100 ambulances
“Drive for Life” is a project of Open Eyes, the charity fund of SoftServe. Through this initiative, more than 200 ambulances and medical vehicles have been donated to date, in support of rescuers in Ukraine.
SoftServe, one of the largest IT companies in Central and Eastern Europe, donates 1.5 million dollars to support the third edition of the “Drive for Life” project, an initiative of the company’s charity fund – Open Eyes – which has in order to support rescuers in Ukraine by providing fully equipped ambulances.
For this year’s edition, Open Eyes aimed to provide Ukraine with 100 more ambulances and medical equipment, requiring a total budget of $1.9 million. SoftServe is contributing $1.5 million, with the remaining $400,000 to be raised through fundraising from employees and other donors. Since 2022, through the “Drive for Life” project, Open Eyes has donated 230 ambulances to rescuers in Ukraine. With the help of donations received by SoftServe from employees, partners and other donors around the world, more than 30,000 lives, both civilian and military, have been saved. As part of this project, this year, the charitable fund also launched satellite initiatives, such as “Lifesaver Support: Romania”, through which it aims to raise $3,000 for essential medical equipment for ambulances. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, SoftServe’s “Open Eyes” charity fund has donated more than $30 million to support Ukraine. About 80,000 Ukrainians benefited from the company’s support, which included the delivery of about 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid, 25,000 units of protective equipment, 10,000 units of computer equipment and more than 50,000 medical kits. In 2023, the fund also launched a number of projects to support hospitals in five regions of Ukraine.
