Bucharest Tech Week opens its doors next week – the capital becomes the epicenter of technology and innovation
- June 10 – 14 – Business Summits – NORD Events Center by Globalworth – conferences focused on Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, HR, Software Architecture and Java
- June 14 – 16 – Tech Expo – Romexpo Pavilion B1 – the largest exhibition of technology and innovation in Central and Eastern Europe, dedicated to the general public
Bucharest Tech Week, the largest technology and innovation festival in Central and Eastern Europe, will take place this year between June 10 and 16. The five specialized conferences on significant industries in the tech area will take place from Monday to Friday, at the NORD Events Center by Globalworth, and will bring to the public international specialists in the field, who will offer over 30 hours of high-quality content.
The technology week will end with the largest exhibition of technology and innovation in Central and Eastern Europe, accessible free of charge to the general public. Tech Expo will take place on the weekend of June 14-16, at Romexpo Pavilion B1.
The official opening moment of Bucharest Tech Week will take place on Monday, June 10, at 9:30 a.m., at NORD Events Center by Globalworth.
The following will participate in the opening ceremony:
- Mircea Geoană, Deputy Secretary General of NATO,
- Florin Spătaru – State Counselor at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet, who will give an official message from the Prime Minister,
- Andrei Niculae – Vice-President of the Authority for the Digitization of Romania, Pavel Popescu – Vice President of ANCOM,
- Florin Popa – Director of Orange Business, Wolfgang Fuerst – Head of Mechanical Engineering Bosch,
- Jakub Olek – Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, Central & Eastern Europe TikTok
- Edward Crețescu – President of ANIS.
This year, the five business summits bring together over 50 local and international speakers, respectively over 60 partner companies, who will bring to the attention of those present over 450 technology solutions dedicated to the business environment. Thus, during the five dedicated days, the participants will benefit from more than 30 hours of quality content, from global and local specialists in the field, having, at the same time, the opportunity to interact with representatives of partner companies, to explore the activation areas of them and learn more about the technologies presented.
Among the companies that participants can meet at Business Summits are Orange Business, Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj, BCR, TikTok, Picsart, Undelucram.ro, EPAM Romania and Deloitte Technology Delivery Center.
Also, visitors can attend masterclasses and presentations by some of the most relevant international specialists, including: Dhiraj Mukherjee – the co-founder of Shazam and one of the pioneers of modern technology, who will be present as a Star Speaker and at the event, Rhonda Fletcher-Leonetti – Global Leadership Experience Manager HP will discuss reinventing business and building lasting success, who will provide know-how in the direction of transforming human-centered leadership and cultivating an environment where individuals feel valued, Andrea Vena – Chief Climate and Sustainability Officer within the European Space Agency, who will explain the Agency’s objectives and the impact in the hi-tech sector or Nadav Cohen, co-founder of Blink ELP, who will provide information on the latest advances in diagnostics medical and augmented reality, and will also demonstrate Blink ELP eye technology.
Tech Expo – the largest exhibition with free entry for the general public
Between June 14-16, at Romexpo, Pavilion B1 Bucharest Tech Week ends with the largest technology exhibition, dedicated to the general public, on the weekend of June 14-16, at Romexpo, Pavilion B1.
The official opening of the event will take place on Friday, June 14, at 2 p.m.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore technology in a space of over 5,500 m2, where they will be welcomed by over 70 exhibitors, ready to present their over 1400 products and solutions, the latest technological innovations on the market.
Among the biggest exhibiting companies in the Tech Expo are: Samsung – present with the varied range of Odyssey monitors and the newly launched Odyssey OLED G6, which offers an immersive visual experience and peak performance for gaming, LEGO – which will bring excitement to the digital universe in the real world, offering gaming and vehicle enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with impressive LEGO Technic sets, ASUS – present with its range of ASUS ExpertBook business laptops equipped with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processors, which aims to provide a superior user interaction or Elec – which comes with innovative technologies from the automotive world and will present a unique experience for the time spent in transit in the car. Other companies that will be present with their innovative products are BrainMap – which introduces qEEG (electroencephalographic mapping) technology, an advanced solution that collects and processes data from over 80,000 points in the brain, offering precise and deep analyzes that can reveal essential information about brain functioning human, Orcam – which will present assistive reading devices for the blind or visually impaired, Shaw – which will exhibit innovative pet care products that can be controlled directly from the app or Shape Robotics – which will build an interactive laboratory at the event, giving children the opportunity to learn and have fun at the same time.
At the same time, the Tech Expo also includes a dedicated area for car enthusiasts, who can see the newest models at the exhibition, such as: the new Ford Puma, Ford Kuga, Ford Explores, Mustang Mach-E. Moon Power together with Renovatio will bring Volkswagen ID.7, Tesla will come with Model 3 and Model Y, and from Hyundai will be present a model of Kona Electric. Alfa Romeo will exhibit the Tonale Hybrid, those from Jeep will come with an Avenger Electric, and Allview will present the Allview CityZEN.
