Trencadis’s business grew by 38% in 2023: The pipeline of projects for 2024 is consistent
Trencadis, a technology company specializing in developing and implementing complex software solutions for the government and business sectors, closed the 2023 financial year with a business of 33.7 million euros (167.8 million lei), up 38.7% compared to the previous year. This growth follows the 21% advance in 2022.
The results obtained in 2023 represent a new record for the Trencadis company’s business volume, with a profit of 1.24 million euros (6.2 million lei) increasing by 53.2% compared to the previous year.
In the context of financing within Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the structural funds dedicated to the digital transformation of the state-citizen and state-business environment relationship, Trencadis aims to contribute to the modernization of digital infrastructure and increase the efficiency of public services.
“The results assessed at the start of last year have been achieved, and the pipeline of projects for 2024 is a consistent one, increasing compared to 2023 thanks to the professional skills of our team and the delivery in the best conditions of the complex digital transformation projects in which we are involved as an integrator of complex IT systems. By rethinking the business philosophy, we became one of the largest Romanian integrators on the IT market in the public sector. We work with partners, subcontractors, and selected suppliers continuously to deliver to the highest quality standards of the digital transformation projects of the state-citizen and state-business environment”, said Marian Murgulet, CEO of Trencadis.
The turnover in 2023 was backed by system integration projects, digital transformation of some public services, and hardware and software infrastructure delivery.
“The investments in the team’s technical skills and the technologies that produced the first large-scale projects on Big Data solutions, Cyber-security, and educational software contributed to the evolution of the turnover. We are looking for specialists for roles such as Project Managers, Business Analysts, System Architects, and Big Data cyber-security and AI specialists”, said Emilia Jeleriu, Deputy CEO of Trencadis, responsible for business development, BID & Presales.
Also, in 2023, Trencadis launched and completed a series of significant projects previously started in the digital transformation of public administration.
Among the projects completed in 2023 are the digital platform with open educational resources Edulib for the Administration Agency of the National Informatics Network for Education and Research, services regarding the Development of an IT system for the Superior Council of Magistracy, services and provision of necessary equipment for Development and implementation integrated management system for the National Health Insurance House, IT system implementation and development services and staff training for the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, IT application design and maintenance services and hardware infrastructure support for the ReCONNECT project of the National Employment Agency. Also, in 2023, Trencadis initiated infrastructure and security projects – STS cyber security for the government cloud, MAI – communication equipment.
