Datacor: Technological advancements in AI solutions to propel data center development in Romania
Datacor, the local leader in sustainable solutions for data center infrastructures, foresees a significant evolution in data center development in the country, due to the accelerated progress of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
With the technological advancements in AI and the growing necessity for processing and storing increasingly vast volumes of data, Romania stands on the cusp of a transformation in its data infrastructures, being well-positioned to cater to the data center needs of the region, assert Datacor experts.
“The synergy between artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure is fundamental for sector evolution. Datacor’s expertise in data infrastructure can be invaluable in supporting the data center industry amidst the unprecedented expansion of AI technologies. Through our advanced and sustainable solutions, Datacor aims to meet the new demands imposed by AI progress, contributing to the evolution and efficiency of data centers. We are confident in our ability to deliver sustainable solutions tailored to specific company needs, thus fostering continuous innovation within the data center industry,” stated Aurel Dosan, Chief Sales Officer at Datacor.
Datacor experts predict a significant increase in implementing and expanding data centers in Romania, both in 2024 and in the years to come, to meet the varied needs of AI applications across diverse industries. As such, Datacor commits to providing personalized solutions that address the specific challenges posed by AI workloads in data centers, emphasizing the necessity for solutions focusing on energy efficiency and infrastructure sustainability.
“The continuous progress of artificial intelligence technology will generate an ever-growing demand for data processing and storage capacities in modern and efficient data centers. Data fuels innovation in this increasingly developed digital era, and the development of efficient and flexible data centers becomes crucial in supporting the continuous progress of artificial intelligence in various domains, including the medical and financial industries, among others. Datacor remains dedicated to providing advanced and sustainable solutions for data center infrastructures, thereby contributing to the country’s technological evolution,” explained Aurel Dosan.
Datacor assumes a proactive role in providing solutions and specialized expertise to address the challenges and opportunities in the rapid evolution of data center infrastructure, adapting to the increasingly complex requirements of regional companies.
“Romania possesses distinct strategic advantages for data center development, including a substantial proportion of renewable sources of green energy and the availability of large plots of land at more competitive prices than those found elsewhere in Europe. As the data center industry in Romania is still in early stages, there is great potential for the country to explore opportunities it can offer to data center operators, supporting sector development in the years to come,” stated Bogdan Bilegan, CEO of Datacor.
Datacor aims to offer more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for data centers in Romania and encourages companies to align with new trends and technological innovations regarding infrastructure solutions.
Datacor is one of the main integrators of electrical, telecom and security systems in Romania, which reported revenues of over 7 million euros in the first half of this year, an increase compared to the same period last year. The performance was due to the new business line “Green Energy”, launched by the company in the second half of the previous year.
Last year, Datacor launched the new division called Datacor Green Energy, through which it offers a suite of solar photovoltaic (PV) energy solutions, to help Romanian companies generate renewable energy for their own consumption. The company thus ensures the design, installation and complete maintenance of photovoltaic systems, taking care of all the details of the installation process of the new solutions, from planning, legal validation, technical documentation, permits, approvals, implementation and maintenance.
