ADR organized the conference to disseminate the results of the “Centralized Software Platform for Digital Identification – PSCID” project
The Authority for the Digitization of Romania (ADR) organized on Wednesday, July 19, the conference to disseminate the results of the project “Centralized Software Platform for Digital Identification – PSCID”, code MySMIS 2014+ 130599.
“Today we mark a historic moment for Romania. The deliverable of the PSCID project is the ROeID mobile application, which we launched together with the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization back in May in a public beta test version. We have already recorded more than 15,000 downloads in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Practically, 15,000 Romanians now have a digital identity, at the highest safety and functionality standards. Building the digital identity of Romanians is an essential step in de-bureaucratizing public institutions and simplifying the lives of Romanians. Citizens will be able, through this application, to access the electronic public services of the Romanian state with a single authentication. The digital transformation of the central public administration can no longer be stopped. ROeID is the second mobile application launched by ADR this year, after the Ghișeul.ro mobile application, and the two applications are already interconnected”, emphasized Dragoș-Cristian Vlad, president of ADR.
Bogdan Dumea, secretary of state in the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, Ionuț-Valeriu Andrei, general director of the National Company “Loteria Română” and Cosmin-Dragoș Niculescu, general secretary of ADR and manager of the PSCID project also spoke at the event. Also present at the event were representatives of the institutions involved in the development of the PSCID project, such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, the National Trade Registry Office.
The Centralized Software Platform for Digital Identification (PSCID) provides the gateway and the first point of securing electronic eGovernment services. Through the implementation of PSCID, stronger and more secure ways of electronic authentication are generated for accessing and using electronic public services and of unitary and centralized management of electronic identities of citizens, their credentials and provisioning of identities in the target systems that provide electronic services.
