Digital Challenge 2023 theme: “Digital innovation for a sustainable future”

The Authority for the Digitization of Romania, in partnership with the “SUPORT REGIUNEA CENTRU” Association and the Association for Science, Technology and Innovative Entrepreneurs – ȘTII, with the support of Mastercard Romania and the European Academy of Regions (AER), announces the 2023 Theme of the “Digital Challenge” project ” – “Digital innovation for a sustainable future”.

The international competition “Digital Challenge” focuses on promoting digital innovation in the field of IT to contribute to building a sustainable future with the aim of encouraging participants to think and develop innovative projects that address current challenges and issues related to sustainability through the use of digital technologies . The event’s agenda: – July 1, 2023: Launch of competition entries (the “Digital Challenge” international competition) and distribution of competition topic suggestions on the website www.digitalchallenge.ro;

• July 1, 2023 – August 31, 2023, 11:59 p.m.: Competition registration period;
• September 1, 2023 – October 7, 2023, 11:59 p.m.: Submission of projects;
• October 8, 2023 – October 20, 2023: Evaluation of projects;
• October 21-22, 2023: Conference – physical event (broadcast and live) for the presentation of the winning projects, awarding, support of speaker presentation sessions, company/institution presentations and workshops;
• October 21-22, 2023 Scientific communications session indexed in an international database (Google Academic, ProQuest, EBSCO, SCOPUS, IEEE, etc.) dedicated to academic staff and specialists in the field.

The international “Digital Challenge” competition is aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 26 and includes areas such as programming, 3D design, 3D modeling and aeromodelling.

The competition will give participants a platform to express their creativity and skills in the digital field. The international conference, which will take place in person and will be broadcast live, will bring together the winners of the competition and offer sessions of presentations by branded speakers. The scientific communication session will be supported by the Danubius Galați University, the academic partner of this project, which will play an essential role in supporting the scientific communication session within the project.

This session is aimed at university students, masters, PhD students and teaching staff, offering them a valuable platform to share their research and findings in the field of digital innovation and sustainability. The scientific communications presented in this session will be indexed in an international database and will contribute to the development of knowledge in the digital field and to the promotion of academic excellence.
