Realworld Eastern Europe: 16 million lei business from the implementation of GIS software solutions and automation on the local market
Realworld Eastern Europe, one of the players in the local software integration market in the GIS (Geographic Information System) area, part of the Dutch holding company Realworld Systems, relies this year on a business advance of approx. 20%, approx. 16 million lei.
The company has a 24-year history of the local market and is one of the leading providers of professional services and GIS products for companies that develop and operate geographically distributed networks and infrastructures, such as telecommunications, water supply and sewerage, electricity transmission and distribution, and of gas. The company also delivers and integrates on the local market process automation and orchestration solutions as well as solutions for digitizing maintenance processes.
“The last few years have meant an accelerated business growth for Realworld Eastern Europe. Thus, if in 2019 the company’s turnover reached 10.3 million lei, in 2021 it stood at 14.8 million lei “, said Bogdan Hebean, Managing Director of Realworld Eastern Europe.
According to him, the sustained growth rate was due both to the traditional activity of the company – consulting services in the GIS area – and to the development of the automation and digitization segment, a very dynamic one on the local market.
The company’s representative stressed that the focus for 2022 is on the telecom area, but it also considers a penetration of the fin-bank sectors, but also manufacturing (production) with solutions that can have an immediate impact on companies’ operations. In this sense, the main solutions proposed by Realworld Eastern Europe locally are GE Smallworld, Cortex, Mapidea and Maintenance Connection. GE Smallworld is an asset management solution that excels in meeting network inventory and documentation needs, while providing a suite of functional modules that address the full spectrum of business processes: planning and design, construction, operation and maintenance. This solution has already been implemented by the Romanian team within the main telecom operators in Romania, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Cortex is an intelligent automation and process orchestration solution, also implemented in the largest telecom companies in Romania.
The role of Mapidea is to allow the use of geo-referenced information in a very easy way, while Maintenance Connection offers the digitization of maintenance processes, with an immediate impact on efficiency by avoiding equipment failure in any type of production unit.
“Regarding the main challenges of the current year at the local level, we consider that the geo-political situation in the area is the most important. On the other hand, the lack of specialized human resources and the long duration of training for the solutions we offer are aspects that we face “, Bogdan Hebean also said.
He also pointed out that a positive aspect to be mentioned regarding the Romanian market is the fact that there is a growing maturity and implicitly the inclination of companies to invest in digitization and automation of processes to contribute to increasing productivity for most key industries.
