End-to-end software services provider Roweb records sales over 4.3 million Euro in 2021
Roweb, Romanian end-to-end software services company, ended 2021 with sales of over 4.3 million euros. Due to the rapid process of adapting to the new economic context, during the previous year the company expanded its team, strengthened its partnerships and achieved a growth of about 20% in turnover compared to 2020. For the current year, Roweb plans to open a new office in London, expanding the team and continuing the business growth process.
“We quickly recovered from the shock of the pandemic and immediately adapted to the new context and hybrid or remote way of working, being a company that worked full on-site. Despite the social and economic impediments, we managed not to lose any customers and to keep our teams intact. Moreover, we increased the number of colleagues and completed the construction of the office building for HQ, in Pitesti. For the current year, we plan to expand especially in the markets of interest and to maintain the same growth trend “, said Viorel Costea, CEO & Co-founder of Roweb.
Roweb launched under the current concept 18 years ago, relied on customers in the international market and recorded a process of organic growth of about 20% per year. The main clients in Roweb’s portfolio are from Europe (UK, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, etc.), the USA, the Middle East and Romania, half of the turnover coming from collaborations with companies in the UK. The company currently has offices in three cities in the country, namely Bucharest, Pitesti and Craiova, but many employees work remotely from other cities.
Roweb offers services through dedicated teams (staff augmentation and project based teams) and develops end-to-end business solutions (from consulting, to architecture, development, implementation, design, QA, etc.). Among the types of services offered by the company are: enterprise software development, web & mobile software development and e-commerce, and as technologies the Roweb team specializes in: .Net, PHP, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js, Node .js), iOS, Android and React-native for Mobile and Cloud technologies.
90% of business comes from international markets
The main industries from which the company’s clients come are: recruitment & HR, finance & insurance, real estate, tourism & hospitality, retail / e-commerce, and Roweb enjoys very stable collaborations, according to its representatives. For example, the longest project has been running for over 17 years with a client from Belgium (Whise), followed by a collaboration with one of the largest tour operators in Denmark (Tourpaq – Primotours), over 10 years. Roweb also has in its portfolio numerous clients from the UK, especially from the recruitment area, with businesses worth hundreds of millions of pounds (eg nGage), and from the financial area includes many US companies (eg Filelater, SpotLight Vegas etc. .).
Although the company continues to focus on the international market, where it has 90% of its business, in recent years it has also noticed a local maturation in this direction, namely the intention of several market players to invest in software and digitization. Thus, it has recently collaborated with large brands operating in Romania (eg Teilor, Porsche Bank, etc.) and continues to carry out relevant projects locally (eg FGCR, Seatbelt, Litera, O’Mac, etc.).
Plans for 2022: opening an office in London, new local recruitment and increasing turnover
Currently, Roweb has a team of over 130 employees (of which 80% are developers), who work from one of the three local offices – Pitesti (HQ), Bucharest or Craiova, or remote, from various cities in the country. Their number has increased by about 20% per year, currently recruiting actively for tech positions (Angular,: Net, Node.js, PHP) and in complementary fields (for example, Business development, Marketing, etc.
In attracting new colleagues, the company relies, in addition to the standard packages of benefits and competitive salaries, on the complex and stable projects existing in Roweb, along with working in experienced teams, which include seniors over 15 years in the company.
At the same time, after completing the construction of the office building in Pitesti last year, due to the large volume of customers in the UK, the company decided to expand this year with a new office in London.
