SAS launches Digital Transformation Advisory Program
Being present for more than 20 years in Romania and helping leading companies accelerate their digital transformation journey by adopting innovative AI and analytics technologies, SAS is actively investing in the country by launching a Digital Transformation Advisory Program.
First universities to take part are Babeș-Bolyai University – Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Bucharest University of Economic Studies – Faculty of Cybernetics, Romanian American University, while the program is conducted in cooperation with the 360.org NGO.

Having a great pool of talented workforce known for robust technical knowledge, Romania is an important market for investments. However, labor market is in dire need for outstanding skills in the field of cutting-edge technologies such as Cloud, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence combined with business know how and mindset.

Having this in mind, our Academic partnership with SAS became natural. We offer a unique Data Science for Industry and Society master program, as part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science that will enable the skills for today’s and tomorrow’s marketplace’’, mentioned Ms. Anca Andreica, Professor, Phd, Dean at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Babeș-Bolyai University.
SAS aim is to build, together with interested customers in private or public sector, dedicated Centers of Excellence that can fuel their growth and readiness to unpredicted challenges by accelerating the adoption and utilization of advanced machine learning and AI technologies. Such Centers of Excellence can help create new business models, explore various business cases and develop value proposition to the benefit of the company or public organization interested to build this approach together with SAS. The company’s ambition is to train 5.000 data scientists that can be absorbed by private and public organizations in the following four years.

SAS is willing to work with as many Universities in Romania as possible, interested in having programs on advanced analytics and also to create Centers of Excellence in Advanced Analytics and AI, together with public institutions or private companies.
