Romulus Marculescu, Wipro: “Letting people in this COVID-19 context would be unethical”

Finding a job is difficult in this COVID-19 context, so letting people go would be unethical, according to Romulus Marculescu, Risk Management and Compliance Head Europe, Wipro.

“The paradigm will change. We will probably lose business in some areas, but we’re going to gain some business in other areas. We were not going to dismiss people if that happens,” he said said during the online conference  REORGANIZING THE WORK – SAFETY&HEALTH MAKE THE AGENDA, organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest on May 14 and dedicated to the current health & safety aspects defining the workplace right now.  “We’re going to keep them on bench. We will try to reduce costs in non-essential areas, such as team events, salary increases, bonuses. We are cutting down on these areas to keep the people. Wipro never had the short-term vision when it comes to employees.”
