Adobe Romania, the largest European R&D center of the US-based global company, has decided that all its employees will work from home between until April 12 to limit their exposure to the risk of coronavirus disease.
The company allows them to take home IT equipment from the office (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse) and it will compensate the purchase of other necessary equipment worth 250 US dollars per employee, according to the company. Thus, Adobe Romania employees can buy home office equipment, such as electronics (headphones, monitors, internet equipment, etc.), but also furniture (office, office chair) or telephone and internet subscriptions.
According to Cris Radu, Site Leader Adobe Romania and Vice President of Engineering, “In IT, we have the advantage that we can adapt relatively quickly to work from home, and our colleagues at Adobe are still accustomed to remote working procedures for
collaborating with colleagues on other meridians. As of yesterday, all Adobe Romania employees work from home, with the office closed. Until yesterday they were able to access the office to take their personal belongings or to retrieve equipment to support their productivity and ergonomics at home.”
Among the work-from home capabilities, the employees are using the digital solutions for videoconferences and internal instant messaging.
