GlobalLogic – Polytechnic University of Bucharest Strategic Partnership Supports the Training of Future Technology Professionals
GlobalLogic, part of the Hitachi Group, strengthens its partnership with the Faculty of Automation and Computers of the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, through an extensive investment program in educational infrastructure, state-of-the-art IT equipment and direct support for students.
The collaboration between GlobalLogic and the Polytechnic University of Bucharest marks a new chapter in the joint effort to connect academia with the technology industry. The partnership aims to modernize learning spaces and equip students with the necessary tools to acquire relevant skills on the labor market.
GlobalLogic contributes to the modernization of five laboratories by providing IT furniture and equipment, donates 10 advanced Embedded Starter Kits for IoT projects and embedded systems, and installs video projectors in teaching spaces. These investments provide students with access to tools used in the industry and facilitate a hands-on learning experience aligned with employer requirements.
“The partnership with GlobalLogic brings to our laboratories up-to-date equipment and a direct connection with the industry. We thus facilitate the possibility for students to work on real projects, in conditions similar to those in technology companies. We are happy to strengthen this collaboration between the academic environment and the business environment and thus help prepare graduates who will quickly integrate into the labor market, acquiring skills already validated by the industry”, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Mihnea Alexandru Moisescu, Dean of the Faculty of Automation and Computers, National University of Science and Technology Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
“We believe that the road to tomorrow’s technology starts from both the university and business environments, the two ecosystems complementing each other in the formation of new generations. Our partnership with the Polytechnic University of Bucharest is a natural embodiment of the Hitachi Group’s vision, namely that technological progress begins with investment in people. We want to offer students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the pace and real requirements of the industry from the faculty benches, with the hope of welcoming them to our team in the future.”, said Victor Filipoiu, Bucharest Site Manager, GlobalLogic.
Beyond investments in infrastructure, GlobalLogic supports student development through scholarships to participate in hackathons and through constant involvement in academic events. The company thus encourages creativity, practical experience and builds a solid bridge between the university environment and the demands of the technology industry.
